Clearly? We've seen nothing from MS about the new Xbox except rumors and we've only seen a little about the PS4. Clearly? LOL.

what's confirmed for launch besides Killzone, i mean nothing against killzone but that's not the series I buy a console for....

Sony shows some playable inFamous Second Son and announces its gonna be there for launch..I'm there, no Fukin problem

outside of that, I dont really need to get it at launch, shit ...niether the 360 or PS3 had anything I wanted to play till a year in

PlayStation 4 Teaser Is Most-Watched YouTube Ad of February

When PlayStation 4 was revealed in New York City on February 20, it showed the very first glimpse into what’s next for Sony’s line of consoles. And a link making the rounds over the last couple of days seems to put into perspective how significant the reveal was, at least for folks on the Internet.

That link, which is YouTube’s Ads Leaderboard for February 2013, is “a collection of ads people chose to watch and share this month” on the world’s most popular video service. And the number one video, seen below, is for PlayStation 4.

Posted on February 20, the video managed to be watched 26,296,340 times in a period of only eight days, and beat its next closed competition, an ad from Samsung, by nearly five million views (and that ad was posted on February 2nd).

What does this tell us? Well, it only tells us something anecdotal: that the Internet is very, very interested in the PlayStation 4 (interest which is heavily reflected on IGN as well). It also makes us wonder just how big Microsoft’s yet-undisclosed Xbox reveal will be. Something tells me we can expect very similar numbers for that.

I've never camped out for a single console. Why would this be any different?

I'm in the complete opposite camp of JMS and couldn't disagree with him more. I agree with Med. What real benefit is there of getting a console at launch? Besides being able to say "Look at me, I have one!" Six months to a year down the road there will be better games and just more games in general, a lof of the little quirks and deficiencies will be worked out, there may be a price drop and hopefully any technial problems will be sorted out.

I learned my lesson this gen. The Xbox was a fucking disaster with all of its hardware issues. The PS3's price dropped less than a year in IIRC. Like Med said there weren't any must have games really for the first year.

Sure it's easy to say that it's technically current gen technology but it's still a new console and plays games that you can't find on the others that I do enjoy. No fucks given by this guy.

You're going to have a backlog either way. You wait to buy it and to catch up on your current backlog, you'll essentially just be creating a next-gen backlog anyways.
