That blue light on the console is so sexy.

Got my 1TB HDD all set to switch in, will pick up NBA2k14 from Best Buy after work next Friday and hopefully, the system will be delivered on launch day (from Amazon).

Not trying to be all contrary Empire, but why is it such a big deal to spend whatever on an upgrade from 500GB to 1TB so quickly? I buy if it's from 500GB to an SSD or something huge, but only 2x bigger? Again, I am not necessarily trying to be negative here, but it seems kind of unnecessary.

Figure I'll be doing this somewhere along the road -- especially as I intend to go digital w/ everything other than sports games -- so get it out of the way now.

Perhaps compatible laptop hdd's bigger than 2GB will become an option in a year or two or maybe SSDs will be useful (and cheaper) in the same timespan, we'll see.

I'm really interested in seeing whether a SSD will be a worthwhile upgrade for the PS4. There are only a handful of games for PS3 that actually see a discernible difference with one installed.

IMO, you're better off forgetting about that immediate upgrade to 1TB and waiting to see if the PS4 offers firmware for something bigger or an upgrade to SSD. A simple upgrade from 500GB to 1TB is simply not worth it, IMO. Much bigger fish to fry than that, IMO.

The way I see it. The difference is much bigger than you're making it out to be. Biggest out right now is 1.5TB. An extra 500GB is a shitload of games be it retail or little ones. That shit will fill up especially with PS+. Getting games every month. PS+ filled up my 500GB on my PS3 to the brim.

I don't deny it, Knubb. I'm not the gamer you or Twigg are. I don't pretend to understand the difference between 500GB and 1TB on the PS3 or PS4. Hell, I won't own a PS4 or Xbox One at launch.

Trust me getting that upgraded HDD in the sooner the better. Cuz once you start getting games on it the harder it will be to move everything over once you decide to upgrade. Had a 250GB pretty much full as well and that was an all day experience to backup and transfer everything. I hope it isn't nearly as slow on the PS4, but do it if you can. If I wasn't buying damn near every launch title coming I would probably have a terabyte HDD ready to upgrade on day one.

Empire, I'm in the same boat as you from Amazon. Says delivered on 15 Nov. What are your thoughts/rumors heard on these actually being delivered on the date, not just shipped?
