That is true. He didn't seem bright. However he's not the only person experiencing the issue. A couple of the Taco Bell winners have reported the same no video issue via reddit. In addition both Kotaku and IGN had a console have the same issue.

Hopefully this isn't widespread and we're not looking at this gens RROD. Will be hard to tell until the masses start getting their consoles at midnight. I expect by the time UPS drops mine Fri, which is usually late afternoon, I'll have a good idea of whether Im keeping or selling it.

There are also many people I have seen/heard from whose PS4 is working fine. Will just have to wait and see.

How sick is it that, because of last gen, we now have this fear of bricking ingrained in us?

its mostly twitter...if one breaks then we are all doomed.

Agreed. It may wind up a small portion of unlucky folks. I hope thats the case. We'll find out.

Its pretty sad that we have to worry about these things. I guess its the risk of early adoption.

Right, I realize that. We will obviously only here about the "bad" ones.

I went through 3 360s this past gen. It got to the point where every time I turned it on I was fully expecting it to RROD on me. That's awful.

dont you have to worry about it with every product you buy??? Phone, car, dishwasher, TV, Tablet, Electric Drill....ect.

I just got my email from bestbuy that my order will be ready to pick up tomorrow. I fully expect to just walk in on Friday at 7 pm and grab my PS4...

well you'd be a fool to think these things would have a 0% fail rate. No technology does

Tonight will be the real test to see how widespread, or minimal (maybe just an early batch, who knows) it is.

I suppose so. I guess its a mindset thing. When I buy things like phone, car, etc... I never really sit there worrying that it wont turn on/start the first week. Maybe that cause I haven't had any or many bad experiences with those yet in my life.

After 4 360 RRODs, I pretty much go into a console launch expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

The guy streaming was downloading dcuo and it froze, he tried turning it off via the button, but it wouldn't work, so he unplugged it. And then all the tardness happened.
