I think half the reason is because it's a new costco, but there are always 15-20 in stock. I've posted multiple pictures before.

That's it alone. People never think of places like that except at launch when they're desperate.
Although I don't think any of the membership places around here have any.

They had 19 the day after launch too. They just always have them in stock. I've never seen less than 15 except when I went and bought 6 and 8 the days I sold them all.

There was also a week long opening event where you didn't need a membership to purchase anything at the time of the PS4 release. I bought my membership only after I sold a few.

That sounds like a total anomaly then. I see XBones everywhere. Piles of them. I ordered mine online yesterday from Best Buy with store pick up. When I went in they had a HUGE pile. They don't restock until Sunday so that should tell you something. I asked if they had any PS4s. Nope. Same situation at Walmart and Target. I even asked the guy that was checking me out how they've been selling and he said they can't keep the PS4s in stock and the XBones have slowed to a trickle sales wise since launch. He also said when they get shipments they get the same amount for each. Normally around 20. Granted, it's one store, but it's one of the biggest selling stores for games in MD.
Every week I get an email from Best Buy and every week they advertise How they have XBones in stock. They only advertised PS4 one time and that was when they were having that private shopping day for RZ members on a Sunday.
I just don't believe that the XBone is selling anywhere near the PS4. I hope they are because it's good for gaming. Could it be that they are just pumping them out that quickly? Sure. I just find it very unlikely.

Whats funny is I live right by that Costco and was actively looking for a PS4 for my brother for xmas and not once when going there did they have any in stock. Must have just been bad timing. Or you have remarkable timing.

I've avoided my Best Buy for the past couple weeks. I just want to get out of the mall I work in and sit in traffic for as little as possible. The Gamestop at my mall keeps selling out of both though.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to be an accusation against Primetime or anything. Just thought it was weird as I did not experience that. Its entirely possible Primetime had such luck. I can only say I did not experience such luck. They did have a buttload of XBones.

As for PS4s in this area, I did not find a PS4 until Saturday before Christmas at a Walmart all the way across town which got 54 of them that day or something. I was alerted by a friends wife who just happened to be there when they were restocking. My understanding is they were gone pretty quick after I got one, which I would have expected, as the parking lot was a damn zoo. I definitely did not experience the "they are available everywhere here" deal. Maybe they are now post X-Mas, but definitely not before in my experience. Maybe I just wasn't trying hard enough or need to visit Costco much more frequently.

That makes sense. Some gamers strictly do all of their game purchases from Gamestop. Dumb but true.
