I dig Share Play.

Looks like an Full-Game demo (saw you can play for an hour if you link up to a Host) but for your entire library.

Gotta try it out on Disc-based and Digital Downloaded games to see what's what.

Beware of update 2.0 causing issues for some folks. I updated this morning and my PS4 would not recover from rest mode. I found a fix on Twitter, unplug your console for about 20 seconds and then plug it back in. This will cause you to get the system scan and warning messages that you unplugged your console in rest mode but it is the only way to recover for right now.

This happened to me. I just guessed and unplugged. Everything back to normal. Looking forward to trying that share play thing.

Just installed the update and no problem for me.

Put my PS4 into rest mode after the update and had the problem where it would not wake up. Unplugged it, and it's fine now.

Until they fix it, I'm shutting it off (I usually always use the sleep mode).

They are saying NOT to uplug if your consol wont wake up from rest mode. Simply hold the power button until you go into safe mode

Apparently unplugging can mess up the hard drive



the ask playstation twitter account also recommends the holding of the power button

FWIW, I checked a game save and it worked fine, so the unplugging did not appear to do anything for me.

These PS4 consoles are junk. I've had all kinds of problems with mine not shutting off, randomly turning on and spitting out disks while in standby mode and then having to shut the damn thing all the way off to get it to take disks again, to the thing beeping incessantly when I go to shut it off. Do I just have a lemon? I'm fed up.

Overall, I have been very impressed with the build quality of my PS4 (and Xbox One for that matter) but this new firmware doesn't appear to have been fully tested. There are way too many people encountering this "won't recover from rest mode" bug.

Considering this "share" feature was something they unveiled two E3's ago it wasn't like they were rushing this thing out. Just take your time and get the shit right Sony!

I must be one of the few lucky ones; the update has fixed some annoying issues for me. For instance, the friends list is no longer retarded for me where it doesn't load up until I restart my system or the PSN store actually loads up properly and doesn't just hang there. I used to have issues where I'd go to shutdown the PS4 with my controller and it would just hang and triple beep or the side would keep glowing white to where I couldn't turn it on without pulling the plug. I haven't experienced this issues since the update, granted it's only been 1 day so far.
