Thats my question, Will they wait t a year then implement this DRM bullshit after people have already invested in the console?Comment

I would be willing to bet on them re-enacting this. This move is because they got legit scared that they weren't going to move systems. Once you've bought it, they can do whatever the fuck they want. Just look at how the 360 has changed between release in 2005 and today.Comment

This is a pretty huge assumption. MS reversed their position on DRM for some reason, and it certainly wasn't because they all of the sudden have a new approach to their customers.Comment

I don't know, and neither do you, but that's beside the point. What we do know is that MS reversed their position on DRM for a reason, and if I had to pick between the reason being to please this knowledgable gaming minority that you're alluding to, and the reason being money related....common sense and past history would indicate the latter.Comment

Record Breaking Amazon Video Game Pre-Order Last Week
Last week, the Amazon Video Games store made history with its biggest pre-order week ever thanks to the launch of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In fact, at the peak of demand last week, Amazon customers were pre-ordering more than 2,500 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles per minute.
In addition:
· The E3 week pre-orders of the two wildly-anticipated gaming consoles brought a year-over-year increase in orders of more than 4,000%, compared to consoles ordered during E3 week last year
· Day-one pre-orders for the two consoles was nearly two times that of all video games sales on Black Friday last year (2012)Comment
