M$'s m.o. lately has been "fuck making games, we'll just throw money at people". I can see them doing this to all but guarantee all the sports gamers buy their console just to play Madden, NHL, etc. Why make games when you can corner a market?

Huh? It would be M$ taking the gameble and paying the money. If they would be willing to pay EA what they expected to make for the first few months of selling their games on PS4 that's all that matters.

There has been a decline the past several years but I know Madden alone sells millions. Imagine if Madden die hards could only play their favorite game on the new Xbox this Fall? Once M$ gets those consoles in homes that's all they care about. Look at the Kinect. They marketed the shit out of it and got it into millions of homes, to only not give it any support. They made their money and got their foot in the door.

The NFL gives zero fucks as long as they are getting paid. Although based on the decline of sales I'm surprised EA can pay for exclusivity again.

Madden won't be one of the games, BF as well I doubt would be a timed exclusive. These games make them too much money to hold back.
