Interesting. A lot of my friends that held back from getting these systems did so because they didn't want to be the guinea pigs for the next-gen problems. They wanted to wait for the kinks to be worked out, like most new technologies.Comment

Please don't tell me you were able to type that with a straight face?
So I guess MS doesn't have QA and testers of their own? You weren't hyping this thing up as the greatest console ever created prior to launch and now you're admittedly and comfortable with being a "beta tester". GTFO.Comment

An interesting article tearing down Xbox Live.

It is interesting to see that was once a strength of the Xbox is now a weakness. Everything is an App and slower and harder to find. Sure everyone will say it will get better in time but right now using the Xbox live Dashboard is not something I enjoy. Sure I am getting used to it but that doesnt mean thats a good thing. The kinect does make it easier to use...i give it that.
If it wasnt for Forza at launch I am not sure they would have my money at this point.
I think the voice interaction is cool especially for my wife because she can get to xbox fitness without even touching the controller. The problem begins as soon as you get into Xbox Fitness...the voice commands do nothing inside the app.
Overall I like the console but they really need to iron this stuff out. I feel like they came up with this grand scheme to have one OS with the tiles across all of their platforms (PC, Tablet, Phone, Xbox) and now they refuse to admit that it sucks.Comment

Windows 8 had a lot of negativity around it for new users as well. It wasn't until they played around with it that they saw the real positives and learned to love it. That isn't based on an article or anything, just from what I've seen and heard from Windows 8 users. I think a lot of people that were on Windows 8 are adjusting to the XB1 UI well.Comment
