I definitely like that they are taking some pages out of Far Cry 3's book. That was one of my favorite games from this gen and its open world was my favorite behind the current version of San Andreas. Being able to craft your own items definitely fits better with this time period (and would have been welcomed in 3). Having a more explorable map with those enemy outposts is nice, I enjoyed just messing around and going to outpost after outpost in Far Cry 3. It seems like they are kind of ditching the present-day story stuff for this game. I enjoyed that stuff during the earlier games, but they just made it rather idiotic with AC3. Just give me Edward and the Caribbean Sea and I'm a happy camper. Can't wait to play this game.Comment

They've mostly been about gameplay. There hasn't been much of anything on the story. After the crapshow that was AC3, they needed to resell the franchise to a lot of people. Personally, before all of these videos, there was no way I was going to purchase this game on day 1 b/c of how disappointed I was with the last game.Comment

I dig the ship vs. ship combat and that you can get into it with more than one on the water (I haven't played AC III so no idea if you could do it in that game).
Harpooning looks pretty rad as well.
I can't help but think of how many people are going to hold their noses when it comes to the current gen versions when it comes to release time because of how good the game looks on this PS4 footage.Comment
