Deep Silver and Volition aren't wasting any time in taking over the popular Saint's Row franchise from THQ as the today they have released the game's debut teaser while letting us know exactly when we'll be returning to Steelport in August of 2013.


The debut teaser for what is simply titled Saint's Row IV seen above follows up on 2011's Saint's Row: The Third by giving us a glimpse of what we can expect from the all-new project, which, as one might suspect, contains plenty of over-the-top violence, nudity, mayhem, and guys in hotdog suites. The teaser says Saint's Row IV is "the cinematic chapter of the saga that changed all the rules and blew the minds of a generation," but I'll let you watch the trailer to judge that for yourself.
In addition to the footage, the debut teaser lets it be known that Saint's Row IV is arriving August 20, 2013. No platforms were specified in the trailer, but it's safe to assume that the game will be on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC with a potential appearance on next-gen planned as well.
Of course, we'll keep you posted as we get specifics, but for now, feel free to let us know what you think about the teaser and an all-new Saint's Row game coming later this year.

SR3 is alot better than GTA4 - this game looks just as fun as 3. saw some superjumping...maybe a crackdown steal? that would be sweet to hunt some orbs

Looks like the "Enter the Dominatrix" DLC with some polishing on the graphics and a suite of new taunts, vehicles and costumes to buy...

Gimme co-op (maybe MORE than 2 players this time?) with a return of Whored Mode and perhaps a port over of your character from SR3 and I'm all in.

Paint The White House Purple In Saints Row IV

The upwardly mobile Third Street Saints have conquered Stilwater and Steelport, but apparently they had their eyes set on the highest office this whole time. In Saints Row IV, the gang takes over Washington D.C. and gets superpowers. At this point, why even bother arguing?

According to new publisher Deep Silver, the game starts with the Saints' leader elected president of the United States. Then there's an alien invasion, and the player is thrust into an alien-created simulation of Steelport. In that world, characters can use alien tech against their aggressors and even gain access to superpowers. You can see some of those in action in the announce trailer below, including flight, power dives, the ability to freeze opponents, and more.

Is this game actually good? I never bothered with it because of all the goofy shit. With my attention span being what it is regarding games, I hate wasting money. Fucking buddy got me to get MOH Warfighter and I played that shit once.
