There's no better way to call someone dumb than to do it making a grammar mistake.

I just had a good game, Michigan (Me) vs Notre Dame. I ended up losing 27-25 but it was a well played game. I suppose this game isn't bad. Once I'm focused on the game, I don't really notice what I don't like about it.
Still, I wouldn't drop $60 on it but if it ever came down to $35-40, I'd consider picking it up , probably won't though. I guess what I'm saying is that it was fun while it was free.
I guess I just don't have the passion for football games that I used to when I played the crap out of Madden '05-'06 on PC.Comment

I've been hearing very mixed reviews. A lot feet like this is the best football game made for this gen, others are saying "same old same old".
A lot of the gripes seem to indicate disappointment in the infinity engine 2.0. Some feel they took a step back from madden 13.
Can anyone with the game describe the gang tackling physics (if they are present) because I've been hearing that gang "tackling" is still just one player making the tackle and the rest falling down.
I came across a video on YouTube detailing the "physics" of the game through the demo's trainer game mode. It seems to confirm my prior fears that animations still do not take momentum or body types into consideration when they trigger.
I'm the following video you will see oregons runningback execute punishing stiff arms while standing flat footed. It seems to show that despite defenders having speed, momentum, and size/strength advantages, at times they are helplessly thrown to the side by a smaller man.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen similarities in the retail version or if they've cleaned it up a little.
Like I've said earlier this year, it's significant because it seems to indicate that physics do not play a role in which animations trigger.Last edited by ThunderHorse; 07-08-2013, 09:51 AM.Comment

It seems to be very YMMV (doesn't hurt to ask) because the TRU ad doesn't even state the gift card. It replaced the prima guide that was supposed to be offered....not available at launch (a $25 value).

Its the same game as last year, save for the infinity engine.
The crowd is still static and monotone, the players run stiff, presentation shows a complete lack of effort, etc.
The new crowd chants and vignettes between plays are an improvement and I do like the leveling system for coaches in dynasty.
That said, two days was more than enough with this game for me. I don't have the time I used to have for investing in two football games a cycle and apparently neither does EA.

Working midnights for the past several years makes that nigh impossible. Nothing is ever open when I'm working, save for the occasional Gamestop Midnight release.Comment
