Welp, another reason to wait for the Xbox One.

Titans also have a weapon called a Vortex Blocker, a magnetic field that allows them to stop a missile or a cluster of bullets in mid-air and then fling it back at its source of trajectory.
I'm going to be so pissed when I fire a perfectly aimed missile at a near dead Titan and this fucker blocks it and kills me with it

            Advantages of the cloud...

Offloading artificial intelligence and dedicated servers to the cloud guarantee a smoother experience with smarter enemies in a game that blurs the line between single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

Why Titanfall Has No Single-Player Campaign

Respawn's Vince Zampella has explained why the upcoming Titanfall won't have a traditional single-player campaign.

Speaking to GamesIndustry, the former Infinity Ward co-founder explained that the decision was partly made due to Respawn being "a small startup studio" consisting of just "60-some developers."

"We make these single-player missions that take up all the focus of the studio, that take a huge team six months to make, and players run through it in 8 minutes," he said. "And how many people finish the single-player game? It's a small percentage. It's like, everyone plays through the first level, but 5 percent of people finish the game.

"Really, you split the team. They're two different games. They're balanced differently, they're scoped differently. But people spend hundreds of hours in the multiplayer experience versus 'as little time as possible rushing to the end' [in single-player]. So why do all the resources go there? To us it made sense to put it here. Now everybody sees all those resources, and multiplayer is better. For us it made sense."

Zampella goes on to explain there will be some narrative in the game, but it'll all be accessed through the multiplayer modes. Additionally, he asserted that the single-player/multiplayer blend could work if studios have enough resources, and cited the Assassin's Creed franchise as one which had got it right.

Wait, I thought one of their big "features" was how seamlessly you could transition from single player to multiplayer? Now there is no single player?

I didn't think I could become less excited for this game. Congrats Respawn.

The single player and multiplayer are combined. There will be no offline support though, just like The Division, which also has to be online.

Funny that everyone gets pissed about the check in being 24 hours, yet the two most sought after titles at E3 are both always online.

So, it sounds similar to Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode? Basically just mp with a semblance of story thrown in every once in a while?

It seems they are solely catering to the CoD dudebro crowd.

The majority of people buying this game wont give 2 shits about a story with Titans...they will just want to kill shit and control the Titans. Respawn sees this and is not wasting time building a 5 hour campaign that 5% of the people will play.

Good choice IMO...Call of duty and BF should do the same...but charge less...

No they are catering to the people that spend the most time in the game. Like they said, they spend 6 months on a mission that we plow through in a few minutes. After that, most people don't play the campaign more than a couple hours at most. They're simply choosing to focus on the best part of FPS games, which makes all the sense in the world.

CoD on the other hand brought in an award winning writer for their campaign for God knows what reason.

Yea, the CoD dudebro crowd, like I said.

I'm not saying that's wrong or right because they obviously know what their doing. But that's exactly what it is.
