its a game for all ages. Its not a sim. End of story. Lets not turn this into the many social political plight of the video game industry pseudo intellectual idiocracy threads at OS

Damn it I freakin missed this thread.....well the reason why i'm upset is because those clowns at EA took away the pass rush slider from the game. That slider is also tied into triggering animations and pass rush ability by the DL. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this yet...but why on earth would EA remove one of the most important sliders in the game for defense?????? Absolutely pathetic on their part

you are cause you are one of the retards who said...this game is the goat because this demo is awesome. orly?

i played the demo and it feels just like ever other ncaa thats been made. same gameplay same plays same feel....smoothing out the graphics to improve the flow of the game does not make the AI any better.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the foot planting but I wish players without the ball (especially the AI) would be subject to those physics too, and it seems that they aren't always.

I will admit though that momentum seems to matter a little more, and that's something I've been waiting to see. This version is a little different in the sense that because the ball carrier is able to change direction with angles and not round curves like previous madden titles. This make using the left stick fundamental in setting up your hard cuts with the right analog stick and really helps give you the feeling that you're selling the juke in one direction and cutting the other way. The "back juke" actually works because defenders actually seem to need room to stop, that said, the AI seems to be selective about when they do this, because there have been multiple times where I've made a move with the ball carrier that has visibly left the defender off balance but the AI will morph, warp, etc, in order to still make that tackle. (It happens more with star defenders)

Pulling guards still have assignment issues and zone defense is especially porous but ball carrier movement has made progress and the option pre snap indicators help when the defense is running something exotic and it's not clear what the read is. In the past I've tried to use Georgia tech and navy but the blueprint for my opponents has always been to come out in a 34, a 3-3-5, or other packages that force the olb to be the read which resulted in an lb who would always make a play on the quarterback or running back regardless of the read. This year the olb's seem to have to slow down and make the decision just like the defensive ends. I'm interested to see how many people incorporate the shovel pitch into their game as well.
