Flight sim stuff is on the floor right now lol

I had to move my PC last night so I had better access to it.

Now, since I have the wheel stand, I had to put my keyboard up on my desk and pull the monitor about 8" closer to me.

I just ran with the H-shifter. Damn, that is difficult. I didn't think driving with a stick would be so hard, especially since I owned several in real life. I keep missing 4th gear so I might have to run through the wizard again.


I'll take a picture in a few but it isn't the final setup, although its probably close and won't have flight yoke and pedals.

I mounted the power supply behind the post, I tried putting it under the pedal but it wouldn't reach to fit between the brackets

I have to have an ugly rug because I have a chair with wheels and I would roll away otherwise.

Its nice, I'm still tinkering a bit with pressures but I like how it feels right now.

I said in an earlier post that I was getting 84 FPS and just noticed it was capped. I put it on unlimited and now sitting in the pit (with no other cars on track) at Laguna Seca, I'm at 259 FPS. So, the game looks pretty good and its smooth. I can imagine it will take a hit with many cars on the track though but should still be smooth. Mind you, its no Assetto Corsa but its nice.

I don't know how people run 1:00 laps. I think my best is 1:09 something. I had a 1:11 in an official practice but I kept losing it.

I know JBauer races oval. I'm not sure how much the rest of us will race oval, but I definitely plan on wetting my whistle in the Rookie Street Stock series for a couple races when I'm not doing road course stuff. Then the Carburetor Cup uses the Gen 6 cars and is open to everyone without any iRating or Safety Rating penalties at stake, so if/when I purchase a Gen 6 car, I'll probably try that out as well.

when i get a wheel i may eventually try this, wheel just isnt in the budget right now. Also need to practice up racing in cockpit view since i heard thats the only racing view in iracing. I've seen people try to use a controller for this and fail miserably lol
