The only thing is that the Logitech Gaming Software is somewhat important if you want to get the Force Feedback to feel just right. Not sure what happened to you Swarley, but I had no problems with the software.
I ran a 1:50.963 at Laguna. I will crack the 1:40's eventually.
I'm thinking about joining a race today just to see what the people are like. I don't think I'll qualify though, just start in the back and get some (hopefully) safety points.

If you do, let me know what time and where. I might hop on and watch.
I need to find a practice with just rookies. After the session, I see that some of these guys are A and B class, those are full license guys. I need people that suck. Yes, they will spin out but when these guys can take corners much faster than me, I just get in the way. One guy nailed me from behind, thankfully the crash didn't count.
First race results. That was pretty ugly really. I lost it on one corner for no reason other than me not being focused on what I was doing. My car was damaged but I instead of getting it repaired in the pits, I just drove it out and finished the race.
I finished and accomplished overcoming my fear of racing with strangers. So, that was good.
Check out the fastest guy, he is a rookie and ran in the low 1:40's. Damn!
Oh, its going to take forever to get to a 3.0 safety rating.
