Ran a handful of races today.

First up was IndyCar at Pocono. Fun track, but it's a mess with some of these drivers. Too many yellows for the race to be too much fun, but I was able to finish P9 after starting P16

My final two truck races at New Hampshire were a blast. Had my best two finishes in that series at P4 and P3. It was a shame that the final race ended under yellow b/c I was getting some decent runs on P2 and I could have overtaken him on the final 3 laps. LOVING New Hampshire, though. Great track to race on.

And the best thing about tonight, I got my B license for oval.

Whats up guys, kinda new on here. Been registered awhile, just lurked. But its awesome to see an iRacing following on a forum.

Just recently moved so I havent set my stuff up and raced in quite awhile, but getting back into it soon hopefully.

Race mostly ovals, but thats just because the group I've raced with in the past is pretty much oval guys, and we were all NASCAR fans. Would love to get some experience on the road side, as I see you guys running those a good bit, so hopefully a few "familiar" faces will help me get accustomed to those cars too.

Dunno if I should drop my name on iRacing here or not, so for now I'll hold off but look forward to maybe getting in a few races with yall.

Look forward to it! Gotta secure a desk to get my stuff setup.

I've been looking into a playseat or an obutto rather than a desk and chair(its what I've raced with the past 2-3 years) I've gotten plenty of suggestions but always open to more lol.

Yeah we've got a few guys here.

I run the GT3 series and I'm looking into running IndyCar road next season. Once the new Aussie V8 Supercars drop, I may look into that series. I've also been running the GT3 rounds of the Road Warrior series. I even try Star Mazda and World SportsCar Series every now and then.

I've just gotten into oval stuff real recently. Been running IndyCar and trucks but I may try my hand at the B class Nationwide cars when they get to a track I own.

We run a small GT3 series here on the site if you ever get interested in something like that. Pretty laid back. We run on Sunday evenings.

Understandable being hesitant about dropping your name in here, but if you feel like it, my name's Kyle Kelly and you can add me on iRacing if you want.

After racing for years on a desk I upgraded to a CSL wheel stand by fanatec and man what a difference in comfort and ergonomics it made. I know Swarley uses one as well and it is the best "inexpensive" way to go. If you have the room and money you can't beat the Obutto though.

Had no problem dropping my name, wasnt sure if the forum had some personal info rule or not, another one I belong to doesnt allow anything of the sort. Feel free to add me as well, Zach Stombaugh

I'll look into it, like I said just moved and the woman and I got a 2nd bedroom for guests and I told her my iRacing room as well, so got the room, money of that nature is always an issue, just gotta convince her to let me open the check book for a month. But I'll have to look into the stand, i have a fanatec wheel and the clubsport pedals, so I'm sure all my stuff would be compatible.

Well whenever you get your stuff setup, just post in here when you're thinking about running and I'm sure someone will respond and want to run with you.

We've got some lower level road guys on here as well so you'd definitely have some people to run with while working on that road license.

I missed the B Class comment in there Swarley, those are by far my favorite class. The A Class on oval, I just havent gotten down yet, they are a handful, and the trucks dont have the power I like, the B car is a nice balance and has thus far been the most fun I've had.

Welcome! You will like us. There are just a few of us here and we are all at different levels. Swarley, JBauer and Ozone are the best ones (in no particular order). I'm into iRacing just as much but don't seem to race very often. I end up watching these guys more LOL.

We all have different interests, which is the beauty of it. I keep saying that I want to race the Skip Barber series and do plan on it, I just need more work. That car would be better suited for driving in a straight like lol.

I am more into road racing but I do have an interest in trying ovals (I'm still a rookie). As I was telling Swarley last night, I think the interest in oval racing and the allure is the fact that you're always driving near other cars, unlike road racing where you might find yourself racing half of a race without ever seeing another car.

Even though you don't have your stuff setup, you can still sign in and watch Swarley, like I do (I'm a stalker). Or you can watch me crash and take out an entire field. I'd go with Swarley though. My name is Garrett Hardesty, you can add me if you'd like. I'm the old one LOL

We use Razer comms to communicate. So, if you want to get to know us, that is probably the easiest way.

Hilarious IndyCar race at Phoenix tonight. 19 cars started on the grid (I started P12). 8 cars finished the race, and only 6 on the lead lap. Crashes galore. Somehow I avoided 2 or 3 VERY close calls and finished P4 with 0 incidents. That DW12 is almost terrifying on that track haha.

Interesting day of racing. Did a few Carb. Cups for lulz... and they were just that lol. Ran another IndyCar oval race at Phoenix and I knew I probably wouldn't fare as well as the first time. Aaaand I didn't. 3 car wreck in front of me coming off of turn one and I went high and one car came up into me. Went in for repairs and ran a few more laps, but called it quits b/c I just couldn't run the car for another 40 laps like that. Oh well. I also ran a Legends race hoping that I'd get into the same split as newly D licensed Garrett, but of course, I didn't. Finished P4, so I can't complain too much lol.

Best part of the day was that I made my prototype debut in iRacing. I ran the HPD LMP2 car at Sebring in the World SportsCar Series. That was a blast. There was a pileup on turn two between two or three HPDs, but I was able to just swoop to the inside and pass a few cars. I ended up finishing P5 out of like 9 or 10 HPDs, so I was pretty happy with that considering it was my first race in the car. It was also fun being in the fastest of the four categories out there. I'll definitely run some more races in that series over the final three weeks of the season.

Thought about running an IndyCar road race today, but I need to find a proper setup. The baseline was like 5 seconds off the pace at Sebring. So I need to find something I'm comfortable with before I head out there.

Just realized people who aren't iRacing members couldn't see that pic, so I uploaded it to my imgur account.
