I'm with Ike on this one. I'll let the early adopters tell me what I need to know about next-gen and just keep playing my 360 and ps3 games. I am definitely looking forward to reading your reviews on both systems and the games, no doubt. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

I just don't if it's a age thing, or a quality thing.
It's not that I'm against getting either of these systems, but I just have not been blown away by anything I've seen that is making get out and get these day one. Could it be I don't know which I want more? Maybe a little.
No sense in rushing it.Comment

It might be both.
This is the first year I didn't automatically buy NHL 14. I am finally tired of overpaying for patches.
Everything I've seen of next-gen sports games tells me I would be overpaying for patches. Hell, the previews (or lack of previews) tells me next-gen sports games are going to disappoint many. Honestly, I can't believe the lack of hype for these next-gen games ... especially Madden. Hell, I just would have been happy hearing Madden 25 had the same kind of cloud AI that Forza 5 is gonna have.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

I'm not ready either. No real compelling reason to upgrade right away since there are so many current gen games I haven't yet played. They will get discounted even more once the ps and xbox next gen consoles begin to move. Plus, remember what NCAA was like on the xbox? You could add teams (like Fordham, my alma mater) AND I could create my own plays! The way the NCAA license is going, I'll get less for more with next gen. Now today you are able to jump,on social networking or watch on demand: I'd rather the stupid xbox play QuickTime home movies (format used by Sony hanycam) and my android phone movies that are now on my pc. Had to get third party codecs just to play the movies on Windows 8. Some improvement.Comment

I plan on getting a PS4 and MLB The Show 14 on release date. The game is released right after my Bday. I don't think I'll get any other games, at least the ones that are coming out before or have been mentioned. I'll play the other sport titles on my PS3 until they start releasing 2015 versions.Comment

Even if AI and Physics were dramatically improved id be ok. Like who dont any shooters other than GOW/KillZone take into account stopping power , why dont any shooters have any semblance of tactical teamwork , why do they all eliminate cover systems. Ghost Recon /RB6 /COD /BF were vastly different approaches to shooters...now they all are virtually identical..while none stand out visually anymore.
Sports genres are just historically bad thanks to exclusivity deals.
And purely uneducated opinion but it seems the RPG genre is in some weird tweener phase and platform games just dont exist outside of Wii.
I dont know wtf to play.Best reason to have a license.
