Here is the end of the editing video. You can see where I placed the bridge and the wonderful placement of the ball washer.

Check out my awesome putting skills too. I will be honest and tell you that I was actually trying to hit the ball washer, just to see if it is a solid object. I confirmed that it is after I made this.

would you say at this point the graphics, sound and gameplay make you feel immersed into the game?

Course creator, some of this stuff I haven't even seen yet. They do a better job than I do. I'm terrible at explaining things.

I'm playing Knoll Down Golf Club and the 3 guys I'm playing with (Ghosts) are kicking my ass. I'm +11 and they are all under par.

Early Access Impressions
initial impressions are that the framerate sucks. 20 fps is unforgivable.
the announcer is horribly annoying. i hope they add in a 2nd person and give it some life.

gameplay is pretty soild. i have not had much trouble with the drivers and irons, but the putting is a little tricky to gauge speed/distance. But if you are not going to have the read options of a Tiger Woods game, then you better add in what would be seen on a real course. The markers option is great, but rsther pointless if you can not get any idea as to the distance.

the lack of any environment takes away from the immersion. when you get a pan view of the surrounding area and you are in the middle of a giant forest playing golf, i mean, that is weak. some surrounding landscape would be nice so you feel like you are at a course rather than something cut out of a terrain editor.

I think you will like it more as you play. I was iffy at first too and the more I play, the more I like it.

I understand about being out in the middle of nowhere, that is kinda lame.

The one problem I have is on chip, flop shots. Its hard to tell how far its going to go.


As for the announcer, I kinda like it. It reminds me of 'You don't know Jack' trivia game.

What are your system specs? I'm running at 40-50fps.

Do not play in Windowed mode, if you are. You will lag badly, that is true for pretty much any game.
Alt+Enter toggles it.

no windowed mode. getting 20 fps on the high settings. reading steam comments and that seems to be the norm

sidenote...nothign like golfing and seeing a flying axemaster ball coming at me...lol

I'm getting 40+ fps. I'm sure it will get better as it gets more optimized.


And what are you doing? Eating dinner? You've been stuck on the 2nd hole for awhile now. Don't worry, you will have no trouble beating me. I think this game is pretty hard since you get zero aids.

I like how I get a message saying you started to play and if I wanted to join. You can access the menu using the D-pad. Its kinda confusing though at first.
