Phil Frazier from EA said there is roughly a one half of one percent chance of concussion on any given play a couple of releases ago but I don't think I have seen one in 10 plus seasons. Realizing that they would just be injured for the remainder of that game since the logic is obviously not built for the current concussion protocol.

And this is why the Madden crew is allowed to take features out of the game and repackage them as "new", or better yet its okay for them to keep using the same game code since 1999. Because people like you simple go "well its the best we got".
PS2/360 was new code and engines (yes there is more than one engine). On that same topic NBA 2K used the same online tech from Dreamcast until last year... still the worst playing online sports game on the market.

Don't know if its just me, but I haven't seen someone go out with a "concussion" or "severe concussion" in madden 25
          ^^^^This is absolutely correct.

The only reason I want to see competition is so that Madden can be an even better title. 2K will never be able to put out a game that is a threat to Madden as the premier NFL video game. What they can do is push EA to provide more resources to the development team in order to maintain that edge. If that happens, we all win.
Have a talk with the NBA Live Game Changers next time you all have a super secret meeting

If 2k had the ability to put out an NFL title there is 0 reason to believe they wouldnt overtake Madden in a few years. Truthfully Madden has been the same game for a decade plus. You get a re-added feature here and there but the game pretty much plays the same. Same dumb fuck shit works, AI reacts the same way to the same shit over and over, simply put, the envelope is never pushed.

They make small changes each cycle, so little that the game is nothing but a roster update with slightly cleaner graphics, overlays and slightly different feel to how it moves. Guess the game has to move a little different every cycle so people wont realize right out the box how little has changed. Ill give them a head nod on the addition of connected careers but from a gameplay standpoint this shit is a joke if we are being real.

Facts are there, yet they want to twist them to suit their own arguments while ignoring what's been out there for years.

I'm not saying the license should be exclusive... I'm just saying it is and that is how the NFL operates. They aren't going to change it for a small minority of people still being butthurt 10 years down the road...

Yea, as a "Game Changer" you do damage control for their brand for free. All the same.

2k could release a new game tomorrow that is not only a threat to Madden 15, but an absolute better game. I get that you're trying to establish a website that champions EA Sports games Bill ... but NFL2k5 is still a better game than Madden 25 .... and that is really wrong.

If I remember correctly "Game Changers" showed up on the EA Madden forums shortly after Madden 11. A game that for the most parts was just Madden 10, in some ways worse than Madden 10. The "Game Changers" would do nothing but damage control for EA, not only would the so called "Game Changers" do this so would mods and admins on that site.

"Game Changers" are basically shills in my book.

There are still concussions in the game, I've had a handful of them.

I was a "game changer" and felt stupid for testing the game.

What was the story behind you getting to go down to FL and why werent you invited back? Bill says you were invited because you knew someone and it was a one time thing anyway. I thought I remember you saying they felt you caused too much of a rift and pretty much told u to fuck off. Which was it?

I've given myself a few concussions just trying to play the game. They should consider that.

Be realistic. 2K hasn't released a football game in almost a decade. Their first few years wouldn't be a threat to Madden. EA wouldn't start panicking until the 5th year at earliest.

You make the assumption that they'll build a game from scratch in the same one year time frame that EA sticks to.

When in reality, if 2k were to do something like this, they would probably take 2-3 years to develop the first game and ensure they have a solid base to build off of. Yes, EA would be panicking about this and no, it would not take 4-5 versions of a game before they're up to par with EA.

It wouldn't take 2K 2 years to build the game. They have their base engine I am sure.

Right, because when given a choice between Madden 2005 and NFL 2K5, Madden sold twice as many copies at a $30 premium ($49.99 to $19.99) than 2K. I thought 2K did a better job on graphics and presentation and it was good to have them in the mix but Madden was here before 2K, they sold significantly more copies when 2K was around, and they are here after 2K.

I don't understand this whole "champions EA Sports" malarkey. Just because I have led the charge to reestablish relationships with EA that were fractured under the "Lord of the Flies" mentality that prevailed here for several years does not make me a shill. The rampant retardation ran off some of the best known community managers in the industry from our site (not just EA) which does not serve the greater good. You will never get a new feature (or return of an old one) by being negative. If that worked, VSN would have cornered the entire god damned Internet and shut down OS and every other sports gaming site in existence.

I've said numerous times that I think competition is good for gamers. Look at the NBA, 2K released a graphically wonderful game that plays like shit. So bad that people were getting refunds from Amazon and other retailers for a game that had been opened and played. What do you want to bet that now that EA has returned with the Live series, that some 2K releases a fully baked version of their NBA game next year?
