That 760 is pretty much at the end of its cycle. You may want to wait for the new "Maxwell" based GPUs from Nvidia. They should be out by summer. They already release a "M" version of the card therefore it has to be coming soon. I think $270 is a bit much for that card.

        $159

then look into the Maxwell after the summer or toward end of year??

i could also save another $110
and go with this BareBone kit:
Intel Core i5-4670K Processor, MSI Z87-G41 PC MATE Intel Z87 Motherboard, Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB Desktop Memory, Ultra 550W PSU, ULTRA Etorque Mid-Tower ATX Gaming Case w/ USB 3.0 Port Bundle

          $379 after instant rebate

          bringing my Total to $814

The 750ti is a Maxwell based card and is $100 cheaper but that said the 760 is about ~33% more powerful.

It looks like the 750ti should do just fine at 1080p and 30fps for most games. You might need to play with settings. Just keep in mind by this fall the next crop of games will probably crush that card if you want to run at Ultra settings. I am sure you could sell it for $100 in 6-8 months.

Keep in mind that GeForce Experience will calibrate your games for you if you so please...so playing with settings can be elimnated.

Ultimately if depends on the games you play and what settings you want to play them and what frame rates you can tolerate.
