Question...is the MK storyline linear like a movie series ?

I didn't play a ton of the MK games between 4 and 9, but my understanding is that 1-8 is a consistent, linear story. I know for sure that 9 basically reboots the timeline by having Raiden go back in time to the first tournament (MK1) to fix the future. So it's still kind of the same linear story, just with some time travel thrown in to allow for them to pluck the nostalgia strings from 1-3.

The MK bookends are probably top 3 best "bundle extras" ever..I've seen them twice in person and was in love twice.

played 1st time since last week. still trying to finish story mode, just finished with D'Vorah and now on Tekashi Tekada.

this game is pretty good so far.....
