Insight is gained as the player progresses through the game, defeats enemies, and finds new areas.
◾ Entering a boss area for the first time grants +1 Insight.
◾ Entering Iosefka's Clinic through the back door grants +1 Insight.
◾ Entering the Abandoned Old Workshop grants +2 Insight.
◾ Entering Yahar'gul, Unseen Village after being killed by a Death Dealer grants +1 Insight.
◾ Entering the Cainhurst Castle grounds grants +2 Insight.
◾ Defeating a boss grants +3 Insight.
◾ Defeating a boss in another player's world grants +1 Insight.
◾ Consuming a Madman's Knowledge grants +1 Insight.
◾ Consuming a Great One's Wisdom grants +2 Insight.
◾ Consuming One Third of Umbilical Cord grants +3 Insight.
◾ Sending an NPC to Iosefka's Clinic or Oedon Chapel grants +1 Insight.
◾ Killing an adversarial host player grants +1 Insight.
Easiest way is to just enter the Mad Cleric boss fight, or find a Madman's Knowledge. The downside with the boss fight is, you will probably die and thus lose any souls that you have.Comment

Final post: Has anyone else here finished the game yet? Either way, what is the boss fight (or even general encounter) everyone had the most difficulty with? What was something you heard was really tough but found not that difficult?
Personally, I had a MESS of a time with Amelia on my first go around. Probably took about 8 or 9 times. The Moonlight Presence was also tough, although I only died once (I was just super stressed).
I found that Gehrman wasn't all that bad. I had the timing down on him perfectly. Also, the chain gun guy I found to be a cakewalk one on one, and all I've heard is that people have had a night mare time with him.Comment

Apparently the patch that reduces load times by '5-15' secs has been released!

Awesome. Made it to the Blood Starved Beast last night in the Loran Chalice - getting closer to the Defiled Chalices.

By far, the one that pushed my shit in the most was Ebrietas - she can fuck right off. Stupid Cunt.
Her reach/damage was just insane.
Everything else hasn't been too bad once you learn from your mistakes/attack patterns.Comment

So I just finished installing and starting up Bloodborne. You can tell the difference already on your first load up. Also love the fact that now they cycle through different items/objects in the load screen with a description of them. Better than looking at 'Bloodborne' every time.

Bloodborne guide. Over 550 pages of goodness. This is how a guide is supposed to be made; for a game where a guide can be useful from time to time.

It's probably the best guide I've ever purchased. It's fantastically made and quite in-depth. What makes it even more worth it is the fact that Bloodborne doesn't exactly explain anything to you and throws you into the world to figure it out for yourself. That's been a fun experience to learn as you go, but even a month after playing it, there are still so many things I had questions about (ie. importance of arcane, the exact effect of insight, etc.) that this guide can dispel for you.
I'm not the kind of guy that will use this guide as a crutch throughout the entire game; I like to experience things for myself, but this is a terrific thing to have when you are stuck or after you 'beat' the game and want to see what you missed on your first runthrough.

Anyone playing these going to give Dark Souls a shot thanks to Bloodborne? Or, if you want to stick to PS4, Dark Souls 2?Comment
