For any online players I'd definitely recommend giving the PC version a try. There's no input lag and online plays extremely smooth.

NBA2k's be a player mode is great fun. I only started playing it Wednesday. I play as Mathew Barber, a first-year PG, for the Orlando Magic. I made it through two 10-day contracts and was signed for the year. I'm currently 7th man in the rotation, averaging 13 pts, 2 rebounds and 2 assists a game, playing about 18 minutes a game.

This has been great fun. I really, really suck on defence ... and my assist total would be better if any of my damned teammates could shoot the ball.

I feel like a mercenary playing this game. I could care less how my team plays, as long as I get my numbers and my PER is good (It's nearly 22 right now). I may post a video or two here this weekend.

In my opinion, it is and then some. A great game.

That said, I'm an offline player ... despise shot stick timing and generally hate online opponents who don't respect basketball and just play like buffoons.
