    Assassin's Creed 2

teaser......shows nothing, hints at the time period of where the game will take place

    first details..

With some tips from a member of a quality consumer survey done for the title and a few bits of info from past gaming events, the HipHopGamer is spreading the love with new gameplay details for Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360). Ubisoft is stepping it up on this one, so you'd better listen read up good.

First up is where and who. You'll be set in the Italian Renaissance where you'll be stalking and killing through the eyes of a new character named Ezio, along with other characters. But hold up, it's not clear just yet if you'll be able to play them in the Animus or in the real world as well.

There's also the matter of the first Assassin's Creed being repetitive. Ubisoft listened and now they're looking to change things, starting with new dimensions to the game. For one, players now get to swim. This could pose new challenges and interesting maneuvers if your target is, let's say, in a city like Venice.

It's not all about getting soaked in water and blood though, you'll also be brushing elbows with high society, attending balls and stuff, where you'll be wearing masks to blend in the crowd. Sounds like a masquerade ball. According to the source, you will be disguised as a dancer, take out your target while you're at it, without anyone taking notice.

Ubisoft decided to drop cinematics in this one, opting rather to go for quick-time event cut scenes in the game and allow the players to stay engaged in crucial gameplay and story moments.

Sounds pretty good. I like the idea of taking out prey in the canals of Venice. As of now, Ubisoft hasn't confirmed if all these features will in fact be in Assassin's Creed 2.

I liked the first one. The graphics were stunning and the controls were solid. Climbing around buildings n shit was good time. It's a shame the game design was utter garbage with the repetition of side quests.

This one sounds like they'll be correcting what was wrong with the first one...and if they do it'll be a solid game to play.

I hope they get rid of those crazy sequences that kepty piling up every time you would climb a building to survey an area. So annoying and repetitive, they were almost like those old transitions on the earlier GTAs. There is no need for transitions on the PS3. I hope thats what they meant by removing cut scenes.

The problem is Ubisoft, will say they are going to do something, but their interpretation is absolutely different from what most people expect.

The main character is Ezio Auditore de Firenze, a nobleman of Florence from 1476. Ezio is yet another genetic predecessor of Desmond's.

Desmond is obviously still trapped by that company. My only question is, I thought that the assassin's had their ring finger cut off. Looks like home boy here still has all fingers attached.

They were saying something about like the blade actually being in his arm this time around. Maybe that takes place of the missing finger or theyre just going to remove in later screenshots and character models.

The first game was more or less specifically about how well they could present their graphics. It looked amazing, but the gameplay was very boring to me.

If you check out the teaser trailer you can see in one of the pictures its kind like attached to his bones in it. It still is early but thats one thing a few people have picked up.

Likewise. I know it was mad repetitive but something about it just made me want to complete all the side stuff.

That has more to do with the times. They were starting to study the body more and were learning about how bodies work. I don't see the logic in putting something like that into an arm. I know this game is pretty far-fetched with the whole DNA Sci-Fi twist, but putting blades into peoples bodies is just a little too sci-fi for me. Especially a game that's trying to keep some kind of historical value.
