Thanks a lot man. Personally, I think MVP was the greatest baseball game ever made. It doesn't have in-depth gameplay like The Show does, but you can mod almost anything on MVP Baseball. It's pretty ridiculous and that's why I like it. You can keep rosters, uniforms, etc. up to date year after year without buying a brand new baseball game.

Not to get totally off topic in your chise, but do you by chance know anywhere I could get rosters for the PS2? or is the game just not supported anymore?

Almost makes me want to break down and get the PC version

You could try www.mvpmods.com. I don't have it for PS2, but I think they made rosters. Not sure how to put them on, though.

Thanks a lot, man. Good to see that you are checking in on your chise. I swear, though, your Cardinals chise is really something. I don't post much in there, but I absolutely love the setup. It's really simple, yet it has a lot of details.

haha, what is about MVP 2005 that makes the franchise mode so good? I've heard so many people ranting and raving about it.

Oh, and I don't mind about the layout. Thought it looked kinda familar though. ;)

Man. You don't even know. You can do so much to the game. The franchise mode is above-average, but you can make it pretty realistic. Like there's this site called www.mvpmods.com, where you can download rosters, uniforms, different overlays, and all that. It really enhances the playing experience. That's probably why people rant about it. You should take a look at how much MVP Baseball 2005 on PC goes for on ebay. It was a $30 game, but it is worth about two to three times that now. As for the layout, I can always change it up. I usually try not to be too consistent with the layouts because it can get boring. You gotta have that "pop" sometimes in your presentation, so it will catch the audience's eye.

Brewers Hitters Take Care of Sanchez and Giants

Braden Looper celebrates after getting the complete game.

Milwaukee, WI - It was another dismal game for the San Francisco Giants. The Giants played their division rivals, the Dodgers, in the first series of the year. In that series, they lost two out of three games. The Giants did not start well against the Brewers. They lost a pretty bad game, 8 to 1.

Braden Looper pitched phenomenally for the Brewers. He went the distance, while only giving up 1 run on 7 hits. Jonathan Sanchez started off pretty well in the first two innings. He met trouble in the 3rd inning. Rickie Weeks singled. Then, Sanchez hung a curveball and Ryan Braun took advantage of that and hit it into the stands. That made the game 2 to 0. Prince Fielder took the plate and blasted an inside fastball to the right-field stands. That made the game 3 to 0 and the Brewers never looked back, as they added 1 more run in the 4th and 2 more each in the 6th and 7th innings.

Braden Looper commented on his performance, as he was named Player of the Game. "I was hitting the strikezone in this start. I was keeping the hitters off-balance and somehow, I was able to go the distance. This Giants team isn't a good one, offensively, so I took advantage of that."

I'm trying with them screenshots. Lol. It was a tough loss, though. I'm getting real frustrated with our lack of offense. If this keeps up, I might have to take drastic measures.

Zito's Stellar Performance Leads Giants To Victory

Pablo Sandoval starts to round the bases, as Braden Looper watches a ball leave the yard.

Milwaukee, WI - The Giants were able to pick up a win against the Brewers today. On the mound for the Giants was former Cy Young winner Barry Zito; for the Brewers, Jeff Suppan was on the mound. Both pitched exceptionally well. Zito went 7 1/3 shutout innings, while striking out 7. Suppan went 7 2/3 innings, while only giving up 1 earned run.

The only run that Suppan allowed came off the bat of 3rd Baseman Pablo Sandoval. It was a 2-1 count. Suppan gave Sandoval a fastball on the upper part of the plate and Sandoval belted it for his first homer of the season. That was the only score of the game. This homer happened in the 6th inning. The Giants retained the lead, despite almost blowing it in the 8th, and went on to win the game.

Thanks. I was surprised he did this well. I thought that he was going to get hit all day because of his 83 MPH 4-seamer. He has good off-speed stuff, so that was good for me. His curve is probably the nastiest I've ever seen. Thanks for checking in.

There are no instructions? If not, then you gotta go to C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\MVP Baseball 2005\data\database. That's the extension that you put them in and you overwrite. Make sure you backup before you install the rosters. The roster usually comes with instructions on installation. Just check the readme.
