Granger's Triple Double Helps Pacers "Beat The Heat" By The Skin Of Their Teeth

          Starting Lineups:
          T.J. Ford PG Mario Chalmers
          Wally Szczerbiak SG Dwyane Wade
          Danny Granger SF Shawn Marion
          Chris Wilcox PF Michael Beasley
          Chris Kaman C Jamaal Magliore

          (22-24) 122 vs 121 (19-29)

Chris Wilcox rises up to deflect what would've been a possible buzzer beating game winner from Shawn Marion in the final seconds of the game.

          Top Performers:
          Player Of The Game:

          Danny Granger

          Quote Of The Game:
"Danny and Chris were huge for us tonight. Both of those guys are really making cases to be selected to the All-Star team this year with the numbers they put up night in and night out to help this team win." - Pacers GM Larry Bird

Pacers Get Caught Off Guard And Fall Short In Overtime Heartbreaker

                T.J. Ford PG Chris Duhon
                Wally Szczerbiak SG Quentin Richardson
                Danny Granger SF Wilson Chandler
                Chris Wilcox PF Al Harrington
                Chris Kaman C David Lee

                (23-24) 126 vs 128 (17-28)

Jarrett Jack scored 19 points off the Pacers bench against the Knicks in a losing effort.

                Top Performers:
                Player Of The Game:

                Danny Granger

                Quote Of The Game:
"We are letting teams bust out of the gates on us early in games. We need to start asserting ourselves on defense early to prevent games like this one slipping out from under us. Danny didn't exactly have the best game out there tonight and despite some of our other guys stepping up bigtime, we just couldn't squeeze this one out." - Pacers Head Coach Jim O' Brien

Yeah, pretty much. Too bad I just lost to the Knicks in another close one.

lol, it's not going to hurt them too bad, look at their record.

I actually got really scared on that last play. Somehow on the inbound, Kaman ended up defending Wade on the perimeter. The CPU has a tendecy to exploit those matchups and drive right by slower big men but he passed it away to Marion. I'm happy Marion has that release where he chucks it up from his hip so it was easy to block. lol. Otherwise, they might've won.

Tough loss, especially against the Knicks.

                      This chise is unrealistically realistic.

as if that isn't frustrating. I bet these close games are really exciting to play, damn the knicks.

Tell me about it. I thought I would take this one easily.

Robinson got out on the break and was knocking down 3's in T.J.'s face.

Very much so. At least now when crunch time hits, I actually feel like I have some sort of control in whether I lose or not. Before, it was almost a guaranteed loss if I was down in the final quarter. It's funny too because my girlfriend (who sometimes watches me play and gets to see my frustration with this team) actually said, "Wow babe, it looks like your team is better than from when you started."

                            Injuries:

Allen Iverson has suffered a separated shoulder and will miss 17 days. This injury comes at a very opportune time A.I. as this injury will more than likely force him to miss the All-Star festivities in Phoenix which are less than 2 weeks away.

                            Trades:

                            <=====>
As the Kings look to stay in the playoff hunt in the Western Conference, they've decided to send Scott Padgett and cash considerations to the Grizzlies in exchange for Alonzo Mourning. Both players were signed to 1 year contracts at the beginning of the season. Alonzo will fill the hole left by Brad Miller's departure to New Orleans earlier this season. The Kings are currently 3 games behind the 8th seed Hornets.
