"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.

Murphy Explodes For Huge Game But Slow Start Out Of Half Torches Pacers

            Starting Lineups:
            T.J. Ford PG Steve Nash
            Mike Dunleavy SG Jason Richardson
            Danny Granger SF Grant Hill
            Troy Murphy PF Amare Stoudemire
            Jeff Foster C Shaquille O'Neal

            (0-2) 110 vs. 120 (3-1)

Troy Murphy was feeling it tonight, racking up his first 20/20 game of his career. Tonight was the first game of this young season that Murphy scored and/or rebounded in double figures.

            Top Performers:
            Player Of The Game:

            Amare Stoudemire

            Quote Of The Game:
"Troy and I had the pick and pop flowing. He was coming off good screens and his jumpshot was falling for him tonight. I think we got into the mindset that we could beat them with our offense and then when we came out slow after the half, our defense just wasn't what it should've been and they pulled away." - T.J. Ford

Great job man. I like the whole sum up the game in the quote idea. Writing reviews can be a hassle sometime. I'm getting a little tired of it in my Import/Knicks association.

Yeah, I used to write up game recaps in my previous chises but I'm shying away from that now. I don't think many people read them anyway personally. lol. The quote plus the in-depth stat boxes should give enough of an idea of how the game went.

                    Thanks for following guys.

I was neck and neck with them for the whole 1st half but this team just doesn't have the defense at this point to slow a team like the Suns down. lol.

Thanks for the banner flight, I might use it in the future.

After shooting the lights out with Dunleavy in the first 2 games, he was ice cold tonight. lol.

Grizzlies Priming For A Playoff Run, Interested In Tinsley?

The Grizzlies signed veteran center Alonzo Mourning this past week to a 1 year deal rumored to be worth 2 and a half million dollars. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal but sources around the league are stating that the Grizzlies feel they can make a playoff run this year.

The Pacers have had little luck drawing interest for point gaurd Jamaal Tinsley so far this season but after signing Zo out of free agency, the Grizzlies have made calls to the Pacers regarding the veteran point gaurd.

The Grizzlies are not quite convinced by Michael Conley's inconsistent play so far this season and feel Tinsley's veteran presence could bolster their starting lineup to earn them their 4th playoff appearance in franchise history and snap a 12 game losing streak in the playoffs.

The Grizzlies have two capable 20+ point scorers in rookie O.J. Mayo and up and coming forward Rudy Gay, and now a presence in the paint in Mourning.

The Grizzlies have been rumored to wanting to part ways with Darko Milicic and any deal they are involved in will more than likely involve him. Darko has a large contract which expires in 2010, the year which Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh could fall into free agency. With that being said, the Nets or Knicks may be eager to get involved in a possible 3 team trade with the Pacers and Grizzlies.

Pacers 4th Quarter Collapse Costs Them 4th Straight

                                Starting Lineups:
                                T.J. Ford PG Mo Williams
                                Mike Dunleavy SG Delonte West
                                Danny Granger SF Lebron James
                                Troy Murphy PF Ben Wallace
                                Jeff Foster C Zydrunas Ilgauskas

                                (0-3) 110 @ 118 (3-2)

Danny Granger and Lebron James went straight at one another all night. When the dust settled, a late run by the Cavs would seal the deal at the Q.

                                Top Performers:
                                Player Of The Game:

                                Lebron James

                                Quote Of The Game:
"Our inability to close out teams is becoming frustrating. We had a number of opportunities to close the door down the stretch and either committed a foolish turnover or missed a wide open shot. We can't win if we can't close teams out. It doesn't matter that we led for almost 3 whole quarters if we can't buckle down when a team comes right at us in the closing minutes." - Pacers Head Coach Jim O' Brien
