Granger Named Eastern Conference Player Of The Week For Second Time

Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger was named today as the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played last week.

In 5 games, Granger averaged 28.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

This marks the second time this season that Granger has won the award.

Granger led the Pacers to a 3-2 record with wins over the Bobcats, Bucks and Heat and both losses coming by only 2 points to the Magic and Knicks.

The San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan was named the Western Conference Player of the Week. Other nominees for the Eastern Conference Player of the Week were Orlando's Rashard Lewis, Cleveland's Lebron James, Miami's Dwyane Wade and Boston's Kevin Garnett.

12 minute quarters and I'm pretty good at clogging passing lanes.

Not to mention playing up-tempo Pacers style ball.

Yeah just saying though, 2.1 is like elite for steals per game, and you got Chris Wilcox averaging that. You also got numerous players averaging more than 1.0 steals per game.

It looks like you're averaging about 6 or 7 steals more per game than what the Denver Nuggets do in real life (NBA's best steal team).

I'd just turn your steal sliders down a notch or two.

But anyways, that's a minor thing. This chise is still awesome.

Thanks. Trust me, I actually hate the fact he has that many. He just tends to end up on the receiving end of loose balls after deflections and what not.

                                Kaman Sidelined With Flu

After posting a career high 30 points in the Pacers 106-102 win over the Timberwolves lastnight, center Chris Kaman has been ruled out of the Pacers upcoming game against the Sixers tonight with flu-like symptoms.

This will be the first game that Kaman will miss this season.

"Time to invest in some hand sanitizer and Vitamin C," joked teammate Danny Granger.

Kaman's status for the Pacers following game, against the Magic on Friday, is still unknown at this point.

Rookie Roy Hibbert will get the starting nod in Kaman's absence with Sophomore Sean Williams seeing increased playing time as well at both the 4 and 5 spots.
