T.J. gonna' get mad. But, go for it. Crawford can get explosive and hot in a heartbeat. You can use him as a combo guard though and slide him in to the 2.

He's not a free agent. Read it
He's prolly gonna trade TJ for crawford. Read it.
Originally posted by Len BLupe is good peeps. He gets a bad rap from people who take message boards too seriously and forget what it's like to be young and online. I consider Lupe a top 100 prospect in the minors and someday becomes a solid poster.

I read it before. It said trade talks for Crawford and that Bird was frustrated with Ford's inability to hit threes. He didn't say who he was trading away (although it can be implied), thus me suggesting putting Crawford at 2 if he can get him.
Trust me, I read things.
Back at it, yet again. Sign up here!Comment

Originally posted by LiamovilleCongrats on finishing the season man!, good draft pick and get Crawford just for his layup haha.
Originally posted by ARobb21Not a huge fan of the drafting of Hansbrough, especially when my fellow Aussie Patty Mills still on the board. Also, James Harden didn't go to Marquette, he went to Arizona State, and Al-Farouq Aminu went to Wake, not WSU. Also, I reckon pick-up Crawford. Michigan alum ftmfw.
As far as crawford, I'm still contemplating it, but leaning towards it. Just considering the long term limitations his contract may put on me at this point.Comment

Now do you guys see why I'm reluctant to pursue anyone big in FA? This FA class blows and really doesn't fill any of my needs at this point. I am going to make one signing though. ;)Comment

Day 1-7 Free Agent Signings:
- Pistons sign Michael Finley to a 2yr/$3.79M deal
- Grizzlies sign Chris Mihm to a 4yr/$13.82M deal
- Heat sign Rashad Mccants to a 5yr/$32.18M deal
- Mavericks sign Ramon Sessions to a 4yr/$22.61M deal
- Celtics sign Jamario Moon to a 4yr/$19.50M deal
The Pistons and Heat both add serious depth behind their star 2 gaurds in Finley and Mccants respectively. The Mavericks found their point gaurd of the future in Sessions while the Celtics landed the gritty defensive minded Moon, who should fit in well in Boston's system.Comment

- Bobcats sign Raymond Felton to a 5yr/$57.85M deal
- Heat sign Shawn Marion to a 5yr/$56.02M deal
- Raptors sign Leon Powe to a 4yr/$17.01M deal
Lots of signings took place over the past couple of days. The Lakers bring in some veteran playoff experience in Mcdyess who is still looking for a championship ring. The Hawks get even scarier by adding Boozer to their mix of up and coming stars. Iverson is heading to Minnesota while Bibby is heading to Memphis to play for the franchise he was drafted by. After trading Marion to the Raptors prior to the trade deadline and receiving Jermaine O' Neal in return, Marion has decided to return to Miami.Last edited by mfbmike; 03-15-2009, 06:08 PM.Comment

Day 16-23 Free Agent Signings:
- Thunder sign Stephon Marbury to a 3yr/$20.73M deal
- Kings sign Andre Miller to a 1yr/$4.80M deal
- Nuggets sign Sam Cassell to a 1yr/$2.30M deal

- Thunder sign Andrea Bargnani to a 4yr/$26.52M deal
- 76ers sign Wally Szczerbiak to a 3yr/$13.26M deal
Noone is quite certain why the Thunder are bringing in Marbury with a blossoming Russell Westbrook running the point. The Bucks resigned their up and coming big man. The Sixers lack of an outside threat last season was addressed by signing Sczcerbiak. This wraps up the free agency period of the 2009/2010 offseason.Comment

Pacers Ink Green To 4 Year Deal
Former slam dunk champion Gerald Green agreed to a four-year deal with the Indiana Pacers today worth an estimated 19.5 million dollars.
The 6-foot-8, 200-pound swingman is known mostly for his exploits in the 2007 and 2008 slam dunk contests, winning it in 2007 and finishing second to Dwight Howard in 2008. In games that count, he has career averages of 8.1 points and 2.2 rebounds. He's played for Boston, Minnesota and Houston, and most recently Dalls in his four-year career since being drafted 18th overall coming out of high school.
"We've wanted to get a little younger, more athletic, especially at the 2-3 spot," said Larry Bird, team president of basketball operations. "Shoot, the guy was almost a lottery pick a few years ago. He's got several years of experience under his belt. Last year should've been his draft year."
Green averaged 10.4 points in 22 minutes per game with the Celtics in 2007, numbers that aren't too shabby.
"The hope is that he'll be able to come in and earn the minutes," Bird said. "Who knows, maybe the light goes on."Comment

Pacers/Warriors Come To Terms In 4 Player Deal
The Indiana Pacers have known for weeks that they had the option of sending T.J. Ford to the Golden State Warriors in a deal for combo gaurd Jamal Crawford.
Indiana finally took that option today, parting ways with Ford and Roy Hibbert, in exchange for Crawford and Anthony Randolph.
"This is a win-win for both Indiana and Golden State and we wish T.J. and Roy the best," said Pacers GM Larry Bird.
"I developed an unbelievable relationship with T.J," Pacers star forward Danny Granger said. "You're sad to lose a friend on and off the court. At the same time, T.J. and I just had this conversation that it's part of the business and we knew it was a possibility."
"It gives us some an outside threat at the starting point," Bird said. "Making a trade at this time seemed like the right thing to do. Everyone can still get acclimated to one another in training camp and be ready to go come next season."
The Warriors had been shopping Crawford after it became clear that he was no longer part of the organization's plans, as made very clear by Warriors head coach Don Nelson.
Crawford spent less than a full season in Golden State after being acquired in a deal for Al Harrington.Last edited by mfbmike; 03-15-2009, 06:08 PM.Comment
