My defense actually didn't play all that bad...My Carson Palmer-less offense basically gave the game away. We couldn't do squat without him in the game. EA wasn't kidding when they said we'll feel the difference between our starting QB and our backups.Comment

It is always darkest just before the dawn my friend. It didn't look as bad on paper as it probably did on the scoreboard. First, you held the Steelers offense in check. They really didn't do anything special against you. Second, 8 turnovers...that's what killed you. Bernard Scott seems to be the only real offensive weapon right now. We need an upgrade at back-up QB in the worst way. That will definitely be a priority in the off-season.

Bengals.com reports that the team has re-signed WR Jerome Simpson to a one-year deal worth $850k. Simpson, a 2nd year player from Coastal Carolina, was released from the team on the final cut down date in the preseason. Despite being signed just the day before a game, the 6-2 199 pound wideout is expected to play in the team's week four contest at Cleveland as he is already familiar with the Bengals' playbook.

Bengals.com reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have moved rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga (78 overall) to middle linebacker where he will take the place of MLB Dhani Jones (75 overall). Through four games, Jones has just 5 tackles while Mauluga has 12 tackles from the SAM position. Linebacker Reshad Jeanty (74 overall) will take Maualuga's place at SAM.
