Yes - Bradford then Tebow. Unfortunately it looks as if Jevan Snead and Colt McCoy have suffered major injuries in their bowl game...i.e. the NCAA import gods screwed them over and they'll be picked late.

Bengals | Active free agency period ahead
          Tue, 2 Mar 2010 9:42:49 -0700
Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that with the team having a total of 22 open roster spots headed into tomorrow's opening day of free agency, the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to be very active in signing players. While Reedy speculates that the team won't make a splash by signing any big-name players, he does believe that the team will sign somewhere between 12-15 unrestricted free agents this spring.

Typical! Then I hope the 49ers make the right choice really.

An active free agency is just what you need.

Sproles in Cleveland? Whew, that's just another good 'back you have to go against this upcoming season.

I actually moved forward by accident in my 'chise and couldn't report on the big signings. I was a little pissed that I did that...lol...I'm glad you are at least providing some insight in regards to what is going on around the league in your 'chise.

                    Thanks man...

There are some pretty interesting story lines developing thus far in free agency. I'll be rolling them out throughout the next couple of days.

Definitely not looking forward to chasing Sproles around twice a year.

                      Tinoisamoa

Bengals | OLB Pino Tinoisamoa signed
                      Sat, 6 Mar 2010 9:06:49 -0700
Bengals.com reports that the Cincinnati Bengals have signed Bears unrestricted free agent OLB Pisa Tinoisamoa (73 overall) to a 5-year $15 million contract which includes just over $3 million in guaranteed money. Tinoisamoa has a long history with new Bengals head coach Mike Martz, who was the head coach of the St. Louis Rams when Tinoisamoa played there from 2003-2008. "Pisa brings a solid blend of athleticism, speed (85 spd) and versatility to our linebacking core and we expect him to come in and compete for a starting job," said Bengals G.M. D.Geezy. "He can play inside linebacker in a 3-4 and he can play inside and outside in a 4-3. He is one year removed from a 100+ tackle season and we hope that we can get that sort of production from him here. Certainly the familiarity with the player in terms of the coaching staff played a role as well."

                      ...Clark

Steelers | FS Clark mulling three offers
                      Sat, 6 Mar 2010 9:06:49 -0700
ESPN's Adam Shefter reports that Steelers FS Ryan Clark is currently mulling offers from 3 teams: the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and an undisclosed team. Shefter states that Clark has much higher offer from the Bengals, believed to be at 5-years $40 million, however Clark may be more inclined to re-sign with Pittsburgh for less money. As previously reported, Clark and Bengals G.M. D.Geezy played high school football together in Louisiana and were defensive backfield mates, giving the Bengals an advantage and a rare opportunity to land a prized free agent due to their friendship.

That's cool that you played ball with Clark! I like the Tinoisamoa signing. With his speed I am assuming you may play him at WILL if he goes outside?

Also, I like that guys will play for other teams for less money. It would suck if you didn't land Clark, but, it is a cool addition to this version...money isn't everything. I know I had two guys spurn me. AB left for Baltimore for less money and Antwan Barnes wouldn't even negotiate with me and ended up signing with Cincinnati.

Yeah man - I didn't plan to go after any "big fish" and I was shocked to see my ol' teammate on there available. I've watched my son sim about 10-15 season #1's since we've gotten the game and not once did Pittsburgh not re-sign Clark after year 1 so I've taken this as an omen. I haven't decided yet if I will make another offer. As you know from my rules, each offer I make is valuable in that in burns a free agency day.

Ryan was a beast in high school; He played corner, safety, and a little QB as well. He's also one of the smartest football minds I have ever met.

Seriously, really nice attention to detail...keep it up. I'm rooting for Cincy here. They had a resurgence for me in my chise going 11-5 for both 07 and 08 and are now 8-3 in 09. The O has been solid (still need a better back) and the D is at least making it harder for the other guys to score, while not shutting anyone down. They win a lot of 31-28 type games. Nice job again.

Thanks for the kind words. It's not as much work as it seems but it keeps me busy when I am baby-sitting my son and infant daughter while the wifey is finishing up nursing school on week nights.

There is nothing like having a 7-month old tugging on your leg while trying to lead a two-minute drill in the fourth quarter.

Congrats on getting Harrison. His speed should be an asset in the backfield. With the way last year played out it seems that CedBen is in for a fight to stay on the roster. I wouldn't be shocked if both Scott and Harrison just fit better in your new system and play better overall.

Sorry to hear about Clark. Would've made for a cool story line, but, it just wasn't meant to be. Looks like he took substantially less money from Chicago. He may want to win right away rather than be in that rebuild mode for a year or two.

Looks like Bannan and Edwards will be seeing a lot more PT than they did in Baltimore. I love that you are signing players that were once division rivals. Almost like taking them out of a situation that stunted their growth and giving them an opportunity to start and get more PT.

As for FWP to the Pats...well...the rich just get richer lol. Looking forward to see how the rest of free agency works out for you. You are definitely making some educated decisions on who to bring in. I can't tell you how engrossing the off-season period can be. I spent the late morning and early afternoon really "scouting" attribute ratings for guys that could fit my system and if their low OVRs are due to poor ability or a really low rating in an area or two. Gotta say...there are a lot of guys out there in the madden universe that could be really good if they just got a chance to see the field and play so they could progress. I currently have my eye on a lineman from Green Bay and a linebacker in Kansas City that have low OVRs but look to be dominant if they got to see the field.

Loving the updates. I practically check every hour just to see if you've put anything new up!
