More Offensive Line Help on the Way, Kendall Simmons Signs With Texans

More veterans on the offensive line sure helps this young Texans O-Line. Kendall Simmons is a experienced guard that played for the Steelers last. His signing gave the Texans the required amount of guards on the roster, as they only had 3 before him. He looks like he may be starting at center, or backing up Levi Jones at RG. Both free agent signing should help the Texans a lot this season. He was signed to a 1 year, 715k contract.

Who knows, I just signed him since he was the best there and I couldn't sim the next game unless I signed a guard and a tackle.

          AT

          Week One Preview

We could be seeing Andre Johnson in the end zone in this game.

Well, it's football time already, and the Texans are looking for their first winning season in franchise history this season. They could start off that campaign early with a win in week one against the Jets.

They sure have the offensive fire power with Matt Schaub, Steve Slaton, Andre Johnson, and Owen Daniels. They should be able to get into the end zone and score for the Texans, but the question is how many times. The Jets sure don't have much depth on defense, but they do have some studs on their team, like Kerry Rhodes and Bart Scott for example. But will that be enough for the them to overcome the Texans offense?

The Jets offense is a little different from last season, to say the least. You go from arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history to a rookie quarterback. Not saying Max Sanchez is a bad player, but he sure isn't Brett Farve. Thomas Jones and Leon Washington should be great for the running game, which is the offense's strong point. Tony Richardson, the best full back in the NFL will be lead blocking for them. Their wide receiver corps is the weak point. Jerricho Cotchery isn't a bad receiver, but he sure is not number one wide receiver material. From there down the depth pretty bad talent wise. They do have a lot of young guys though.

This game should be a great week one match up, and both teams are are looking to start the season on a strong note.

Yeah this roster is really fun to build. All the team really need is some help at the guards and at center, DT depth, some OLB help, and some secondary depth. Offensively they are about set.

I fixed the slider problem (I hope).

Should have an update in the next hour or so.
