[above] Smith lands awkwardly after jumping for a rebound.
The Clippers Craig Smith will most likely miss LA’s next game in Detroit as he sprained his ankle going up for a rebound against Indiana yesterday. He’s labeled day-to-day so wont be out long but the team wont be taking any risks.
“He’ll be fine, its just a safety percussion that we have to take, Craig thinks he would be right to play but he’ll take this game off” – Clippers Coach Mike Dunleavy
Clippers are loving the energy Craig Smith brings to the court off the bench and will look forward to him coming back in the next couple of games.
The Clippers, Heat, and Timberwolves have all agreed on a 6 player trade that will bring some defense and more energy into the Clippers squad, a shooter and another guard that can play the 1 or 2 spot into the Wolves squad, and an experienced offensive talent into the Heat lineup.
For the Clippers there main concern in the trade was Corey Brewer. They wanted Brewer for his great defensive talent and wants to try to improve it even more to shutdown some of the best scorers in the league when needed too. Then there’s Dorell Wright, a player that’s been in the league for a couple of years but still has a lot of potential and can produce good minutes when 100% healthy. The Clippers also picked up Yakhouba Diawara as a part of the deal and although he wont be a big part of the rotation, has showed his talent and the Clippers were improved with his development.
LA Proud To Welcome Brewer, Wright, Diawara To The Lineup
