    LeVitre Lost for Season

BUFFALO- The Buffalo Bills' worst case suspicions were confirmed this morning when x-ray results confirmed that starting rookie LG Andy LeVitre suffered a complete ACL tear in the preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers last night. He will have season ending surgery and undergo rehab in the following months to repair the tear. LeVitre had taken all the snaps with the first team offense and was battling for the starting LG position with fellow rookie Eric Wood. Wood will now take over that starting role and most likely keep it for the remainder of the season. LeVitre will be placed on the injured reserve. It is not expected that a replacement will be brought in.

Dick Jauron on losing LeVitre : "It's a terrible blow to our offensive line and I know Andy is devestated. I am confident, however, that Eric will come in and work hard to make an immediate impact with the offense. He is learning the system quickly and we expect big things from him down the stretch."

Yeah, it's definitely looking like it could be a long season. The secondary is getting just shredded and giving up big plays right and left. If we can get a consistent running game going we might be able to help keep the defense off the field.

Yeah we still have a lot of kinks to work out before the regular season starts. It looks like it could be a long season. The pass defense has looked a little lackluster.

Thanks man! Glad to have you following! Hopefully we can find some consistency on both sides of the ball here before the regular season. Right now the pass defense and quarterback play is really worrying me.

              Individual Player Statistics
              Notes:
-Bills SS Donte Whitner suffered a dislocated knee cap in the second quarter. He is expected to miss at least two weeks with the injury.

-Bills starters played the entire first half. They are however expected to play only one series in the preseason finale against Detroit

-The Bills must cut their active roster down to 53 men before the preseason finale. Due to injuries, however, they are already below this number and thus no cuts will need to be made at this time.

**Full Scale Reporting and write-ups will begin with the start of the regular season.

Yeah we are really struggling on all fronts. I would have to say the pass defense is the most worrisome though. The injury bug is really hitting us hard this offseason. I'll probably look to sign a better training staff during the offseason. I'll pull all of my starters after one series to hopefully avoid anymore serious injuries before the start of the regular season.

                      Individual Player Statistics
                      Notes:
                      - The injury bug that has been plaguing the Bills all preseason struck again as RB Fred Jackson and CB Leodis McKelvin both suffered broken collarbones and are expected to miss considerable time. Both player have been placed on the inactive list. Jauron had this to say, "We are very lucky to have tremendous depth at the running back position. I am confident Dominic is up to shouldering the load. He has had a phenomenal preseason and between him and Rudi, I believe our run game can be very effective." Rumor out of Buffalo is that team ownership and the coaches are very upset with the current training staff as the players seem to have conditioning issues.

-Head coach Dick Jauron said that final roster cuts (as the team moves down to a 48 man active roster) will be announced later in the week as well as a revised depth chart after the winners of key position battles have been determined.

*Editors note to readers: The front page depth chart will be updated as roster moves and position battles are determined. The up to date roster/depth chart can/will always be found on the front page.

**Full Scale Reporting and write-ups will begin with the start of the regular season.

Backup Quartback | Fitzpatrick named backup
-Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the number two QB while rookie Hunter Cantwell will serve as the team's emergency QB. Despite a strong preseason, the Buffalo coaching staff would like to give Cantwell time to learn and get comfortable with the system.

                            WR Justin Jenkins Released
-The Bills have waived third year receiver Justin Jenkins (61) after he failed to beat out James Hardy for the fifth wide receiver spot on the roster.

                            TE Derek Schouman Released
-Bills' TE Derek Schouman (66) was released following a preseason in which he failed to even see the field. The coaching staff cited the quick development of rookie TE Shawn Nelson as the reason for the lack of playing time.

Starting TE | Rookie Nelson to Start
-Rookie TE Shawn Nelson beat out incumbent Derek Fine to secure the starting TE role heading into the regular season.

Starting LE | Kelsay Holds on to Keep Job
-Six year veteran Chris Kelsay will be the starter heading into the season following beating out first round pick Aaron Maybin during the preseason. Maybin will serve as the primary backup to both defensive end positions.

Second DT | Former First Round Pick McCargo Retakes Starting Job
-In perhaps the biggest surprise of the preseason former first round pick John McCargo, previously labelled a bust, took back his job in strong fashion. He outplayed incumbent Kyle Williams through every game.

More Cuts Expected as Players Return from Injury
-Some players remain long shots to make the team as further cuts will be made as players return from injury.

**Editors Note: The up to date active (48 man) roster/depth chart has been updated on the front page as well as the inactive list. Please see franchise rules as to how the regular season roster will be handled.

Thanks for checking in man! The injuries have just been absurd this season I have never seen anything like it and I haven't altered my injury slider or anything from the one I have used in other chises. Needless to say I will be looking for a new training staff in the offseason. The fumbles I'm afraid to say are due to me being down to my third string running back. Marshawn cannot return soon enough. It could be a long season.
