    Preview: Browns At Chiefs
    Sunday, December 20, 1:00 P.M.
    Arrowhead Stadium

    (8-5) @ (3-10)

With a win, the 8-5 Cleveland Browns will clinch a playoff berth. The last time the Browns played in the postseason was 2001.

The Chiefs are only 3-10 but Arrowhead is always a tough place to play. In fact, two of their three wins this year have come at home.

They have been pitiful on offense with a 4th worst total yards including the worst run game in the NFL. They average an NFL worst 16.6 points per game.

Cleveland's defense should be too much for the Chiefs in this game.

    Early Prediction: Browns win 31-3

                Browns Win In Ugly Fashion

On third down, for the game, Josh Cribbs had a 38 yard run to ice the game.

                -----------

It wasn't pretty, but the result is all that matters. Victory.

The Cleveland Browns turned the ball over 4 times and had an anemic passing game. Yet they still pulled out the W. The magic number is now 1 for postseason play.

Cleveland dominated most of the game jumping out to a 20-3 lead. Kansas City wasn't done however as they scored ten straight to give Cleveland a scare.

Still, the Brown's defense was too much for the opposition.

                        Preview: Raiders At Browns
                        Sunday, December 27, 1:00 P.M.
                        Cleveland Browns Stadium

                        (5-9) @ (9-5)

With a win, the 9-5 Cleveland Browns will clinch a playoff berth. The last time the Browns played in the postseason was 2001.

Their opposition is the Oakland Raiders. They are only 5-9 but have won 3 of their last 5 games including a win over 11-3 Washington Redskins. Their last game they lost a close game to top seed in NFL Denver Broncos.

The Raiders though are used to a warm environment out in Oakland, California. Well, they certainly won't be warm in Cleveland in late December.

Expect a lot of running in this type of climate and a low scoring battle.

                        Early Prediction: Browns win 38-14

Browns Pull Away Late To Win

Cornerback Eric Wright returning a pic six.

                          -----------

With eight minutes left in the third quarter, the game seemed to be unraveling for the Cleveland Browns. The Raiders had just scored their 14th straight point to battle back from a 13-3 deficit into a 17-13 lead.

But, Cleveland did what all good teams do, battle back. They drove down the field to score a 15 yard touchdown connection from Anderson to Massaqoui.

They weren't done though as they forced a key interception on the next drive. Then with the ball and the lead, the Browns had a champion like drive to ice the game. Ten minutes, all runs, ending with a 9 yard touchdown run from Josh Cribbs with 2 minutes to go in the game.

Browns In Playoffs For First Time Since 2001

At the beginning of the year, even the most optimistic Browns fan couldn't have hoped for anything better than 5-11. Most ESPN analysts had this team going 3-13.

Yet, here they are at 10-5. In the playoffs. They are one the most improved team in the league this year and are red hot on a four game winning streak.

For most of the season, this team rode their unbelievable defense. The defense is first in scoring defense (16.7 ppg). However on this win streak their offense has awakened led behind playmaker Josh Cribbs. Cribbs has scored a touchdown in each of their last five games by way of running, punt returns, and kick returns. He has had reached 97 yards or more rushing in 5 of their last six games.

With his rise, the offense has scored 31 ppg in the last six games, well above their season average of 25.3 ppg.

One thing is for sure, no team wants to face Cleveland in the Browns with their 5th best run game and 3rd best defense. That is the recipe for success in the postseason.

Cleveland will certainly be a tough out for anyone.
