Preview: Browns At Falcons
Monday, October 4, 9:00 P.M.
Georgia Dome
(3-0) @ (0-3)
Game Preview
The Atlanta Falcons, after making the playoffs with an 11-5, have taken a major step back this season. They are one of only six winless teams remaining in the NFL.
The main reason is their defense, which is worst in the NFL. They give up 416 yards per game including 275 yards through the air. They have given up 31.3 points per game.
Not exactly pretty numbers. Offensively, however, the numbers are very pleasing.
Matt Ryan is completing 66% of his passes for 463 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions on the season. Michael Turner is coming off a career year in which he put up an NFL leading 23 touchdowns to go along with 2,056 yards. He is doing well again as he is averaging 140 yards a game. Roddy White is averaging 94.3 yards per game too and already has 3 touchdown receptions. Opposite of White is newcomer Devone Bess who is also having a good season.
The injured Browns must play well to win in a very hostile environment.
Early Prediction: Browns win 31-27

I have a feeling the Browns lose their first game. The Falcons are only losing Sam Baker, you lose your starting QB and #1 WRComment

Depleted Browns Lose First Game Against Atlanta
Michael Turner was a workhorse in the victory.
-----------
Going into this game, if you were told the Atlanta Falcons were only going to score 16 points, you would have thought the Browns would win in a hearbeat.
Well, lets hope you didn't bet on this game as the Browns were upended by the Falcons.
Atlanta's defense was stifling for most of the game only giving up 4 first downs until late in the fourth quarter. They gave up only 207 yards and forced five turnovers.
Meanwhile, the Falcons offense rode Michael Turner to the victory. The Falcons only had 227 yards and Turner had 247 of those. He carried the rock a total of 34 times.
Matt Ryan struggled mightily completing only 8 of his 22 passes but he controlled the ball which was the difference in this game.

Shocker there haha not! Tough winning with 3 starters and a key RB out. How does Devone Bess always become an FA?Comment
