NBA: Making Magic | A Washington Wizards Association
You could probally get a really high pick for agent zero straight up, yet you could also gain a bunch of role players from him
i like the draft pick idea but not many teams have the cap space for him. only the grizzlies really, and theyre going to make the playoffs so they wont have a high pick.
LeBron James led all players in all-star votes received.
The National Basketball Association has a party once a year, and it is called All-Star Weekend.
Saturday night will kick off the celebration, with the Playstation Skills Challenge, the Foot-Locker Three-Point Shootout, and the Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Contest. Then on Sunday comes the main event; the All-Star Game, when the league's best take the court.
The starters for the All-Star game have been announced. For the west, Jason Kidd of the Mavericks and Kobe Bryant of the Lakers will be starting at the guard spots, while Kevin Durant of the Thunder and Tim Duncan of the Spurs will start at forward. Lastly, Marcus Camby of the Clippers will be playing center for the Western conference.
For the Eastern conference, Devin Harris and Vince Carter of the nets will start at guard while LeBron James of the Cavaliers, who led the league in all-star votes, and Chris Bosh of the Raptors will start at the forward spots, and Dwight Howard of the Magic will be playing center.
well this sucks i just checked nick young's player card and his morale is at 50 because im playing him about equally with deshawn stevenson.
young's averaging 11 a game for me and i really dont want him to go. im gonna keep him for the rest of the season at least, i guess its possible that him and gil are going though
Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade are two stars who will be missing the all-star game.
The NBA All-Star Game, when the league's best gets together to play a marvelous match of basketball. But is the league's best really going to be there?
Chris Paul, who is having an MVP-worthy season so far, averaging 22.2 points per game, 6.6 rebounds per game, 9.3 assists per game, and 2.2 steals per game, was not voted nor selected by coach's in to the all-star game for the Western conference.
The same can be said for Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, who is second in the league in scoring, as well players like Kevin Martin of the Kings, Rudy Gay of the Grizzlies, Deron Williams of the Jazz, Dirk Nowitzki of the Mavericks, and Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen of the Celtics. All of the players named in the above paragraphs undoubtly deserve all-star spots, but are there players in the game that don't?
Looking at the Eastern Conference's roster, players like Derrick Rose, Jermaine O'Neal, and Lamar Odom are lucky to have made the team. There's no doubt that Dwyane Wade and Kevin Garnett deserve spots on the roster more than they do.
For the Western Conference, Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby, two starters, could easily have been left out of the game. Point guards Chris Paul and Deron Williams both deserve positions on the team more than Kidd do, and a player like Dirk Nowitzki or David West should be placed ahead of Camby.
So this leaves the question: Are we really going to be watching all-stars play on Sunday? The answer: Not all of them.
