Ok. Finally got the game and started my chise up.

    I am the Cubs

I simmed up until Memorial Day Weekend then played 4 games. Lost all 4. I still have the best record in baseball but I have my issues.

Picking up the hitting has been tough but I'm not doing badly. Just have to get used to having an eye for the strike zone at the plate. My offense hasn't been awful, but Bradley and Ramirez are both batting around .260.

My biggest problem has been my bullpen. Outside of Cotts my bullpen sucks. Heilman, Vizcainio, Samardzija, etc have all been bad. Marmol has been fine and I haven't used Gregg yet.

I need a good right handed middle reliever. Any thoughts?

Zumaya is on the trade block with Detroit. Not a middle reliever but would be a definite "splash" pickup for a struggling 'pen in Chicago.

Thoughts on the Zumaya deal or any other guys?

thanks man... I was thinking I wouldn't have to give Hanson up because in the game Peavy is 0-4 with a 3.86 ERA. The padres are in second to last place so they are trying to get rid of him

          how is this....

          Padres get:
          Yunel Escobar
          Rafael Soriano
Charlie Morton (one of the Braves best pitching prospects)

          Braves get:
          Jake Peavy

          is that realistic?

only problem i see is soriano, if youre not trading hanson, id add another B-level starting pitching prospect in there

relief pitching isnt what theyre asking for, and is seems that youre adding soriano for your benefit

                  heres what i found

                  Five-Star Prospects
                  1. Jason Heyward, OF
                  2. Tommy Hanson, RHP
                  Four-Star Prospects
                  3. Jordan Schafer, CF
                  4. Gorkys Hernandez, CF
                  5. Freddie Freeman, 1B
                  Three-Star Prospects
                  6. Julio Teheran, RHP
                  7. Cole Rohrbough, LHP
                  8. Tyler Flowers, C
                  9. Randall Delgado, RHP
                  10. Brandon Hicks, SS
                  Two-Star Prospects
                  11. Kris Medlen, RHP

                  i say either do

Escobar + Gorkys Hernandez + Cole Rohrbough

                  or

                  Escobar + Rohrbough + Delgado/Teheran + Medlen

unfortunately I'm playing mlb 2k9 and the Braves minor league is all messed up. The players that are on there are:

                    Tommy Hanson
                    J.C. Holt
                    Van Pope

I found a created player version of Gorkys Hernandez. I can edit one of my players to make him.

also, there is no potential rating for 2k9

oh didnt know you were playing on 2k9, ya just create hernandez and do the first trade

normally id say it might be too much, but you have a log jam of young center fielders

In the Show, I've tested several of those deals out and the only ones that work out or ones with Hanson or Soriano and not another B-potential pitching prospect. Fuck.

Zumaya would be a good pickup for you. Ever thought about maybe Matt Thornton from the White Sox? Or Rafael Soriano from ATL?

ya, i really think its impossible for the braves to get him without hanson, i dont see why you cant just give hanson though

peavy at 27 > or = hanson at 27 most likely

I think that's wack as fuck that Hanson wasn't involved in either Peavy deal, no way Pads would accept if he wasn't in it
