I would wait Mike, you just made a big trade a couple games ago so you should wait to see how your nucleus does and then address your needs from there

Yeah, I wasn't planning on pulling the trigger or anything because like you said, I just did the young trade. I was just curious.
That trade wouldn't have an immediate impact on my team or anything either so it's not like one I was rushing to get done. wanted to post it though before I forgot they had offered me something. lolComment

i don't think that would work. Marlins IRL as you probably know love the young talent, and Volstad hasn't been terrible for them, i think he's 5-7 but has been competitive. They already had Matt Treanor as well, and let him go.Comment

True. Well the only reason I mentioned Volstad is because he's on the in game trade block and at 1-4 so far. Probably won't make anything out of their offer the more I think about it. Hermida looks attractive but meh.Comment

What would the Tigers want for Joel Zumaya? He's on the block in my Cubs chise and I need bullpen help. No one on my roster is untouchable.Last edited by FirstTimer; 06-26-2009, 03:29 PM.Comment

the way the season is going, i could see Jake Fox being a potential fit. They need someone who can hit in the middle of the line up.Comment

I want to be realistic but I also want to have fun. In my mets chise I see lots of top guys on the rumor mill.
I am looking for a SP and 2B. Do you guys have any ideas? Some of the guys on the rumor mill:
- Peavy
- Kuo
- A.Gonzales
- Kuroda
- Dempster
- Marmol
- F.Hernandez
- Kazmir
- Lester
and some others. I know the teams leading the division wouldn't trade there top guys unless they had a big need. I am thinking the cellar dwellers would be more willing. These
teams are pretty much out of the playoffs:
- SEA
- BAL
- SDP
- ARZ
- COL
- SFG
- HOU
Your ideas are welcomed...Comment

You could deal for Ian Snell of the Pirates and Bobby Scales of the Cubs.
I guess a lot depends on what kind of guys you want at those positions?Comment

Placido Polanco is a great contact 2B that can hit #2. He isn't bad at all defensively either.
If only he can return from his injury in my chise sooner. :|Comment

I don't know honestly. I don't follow MLB trade rumors much. Although he is on a 1yr contract with them atm.
See how he is performing with them. If he's struggling, you can create a storyline around that. I think he is 31 years old. Don't remember.Comment
