Montenegro stun U.S.A.
MONTENEGRO -- Montenegro upset the odds with a surprise victory over the United States. A brace from Mirko Vucinic helped Montenegro to victory. It didn't help the United States that both of Vucinic's goals came off of U.S. mishaps in the defensive third.
Vucinic had no trouble in scoring from the spot when Michael Bradley conceded a penalty. Forward Landon Donovan then equalized for the United States in the 71st minute with a placed shot. Montenegro's winner came through Vucinic as he seized on Tim Howard's mistake to score a fine header from point-blank range. Vucinic's impact delighted the fans with his late goal.
The United States now look ahead to the Gold Cup group stages in June.

U.S.A. show lethal touch
NEW YORK -- It was a memorable day for Juan Agudelo and U.S.A. fans alike as Agudelo became the youngest player in the history of the Gold Cup. Midfielder Maurice Edu gave the United States the lead with a diving header from within the six-yard box in the 17th minute. Juan Agudelo doubled the U.S.A.'s lead with a deftly executed finish in the 32nd minute. Experienced striker David Suazo pulled one back for Honduras after 53 minutes with a close range header.
