Last time the Heat were in the lottery, they selected Michael Beasley.
Before the week ended to work out with players, the Hornets already determined they rather not have a draft choice and have proven players. They traded the 14th overall pick in this years draft to the Heat for Courtney Lee, Adonal Foyle, and the 60th overall pick in this years draft.
The trade was very good for both teams. The Hornets get a backup center to new starter Hilton Armstrong that knows how to play the game. He is also an expiring. They also get Courtney Lee. Lee was the center piece of the trade. He will step into the starting SG spot and move Tyreke to the bench. This is very good because it is obvious that he is not ready to start.
The Heat get rid of 2 angry players for a lottery pick. It's not a top 10, but 14th isn't bad. They will be looking to get a SG or SF in this years draft.
Heat invite Young, Hudson, Casspi,Brown to work out, Hudson Casspi to play 2 on 2 against DerMarr and Livingston
The Heat were very busy this past week getting in workouts for possible draft picks. They invited Lester Hudson, Omri Casspi, Sam Young, and Derrick Brown to individual workouts for the 14th pick. Workouts went pretty good with all the rookies, but Lester and Omri stood out the most, and were invited on Thursday to play against DerMarr Johnson and Shaun Livingston in a 2 on 2 game. Here was a highlight from Omri Casspi in the 2 on 2 game.
As much as I have disagreed with some of stuff you say, I must admit this is one of my favorite franchises to follow. I just got caught up on a couple pages, I'll start posting from now on.
John Wall to the Spurs? Oh shit. Good pick with Casspi by the way, hopefully he can fill that void you have at SF right now.

Thanks man, really love hearing stuff like that :D.
Wall is replacing Tony Parker so it was a good pickup for them. Should be good with Timmy. Casspi will be a great backup SF for me for now.
