Ramon Sessions Ranks #1 In Latest Pure Point Rating

In his first year as a Knicks, Ramon Sessions has impressed the fans with his consistant play. Sessions is not only a great team player but can also score at will, his latest game against one of the top oppositions proved this when he racked up 18 assists and 29 points. He's also a great on-ball defender, he is number #1 in Steals Per Game and leads the NBA.

            Assists Per Game - 9.6

            Turnovers Per Game - 2.5

                    Knick's 1 By 1 Midseason Player Review

                    Ramon Sessions
Strengths: Sessions has been our most consistent player this season, hes clearly been a great inclusion for the team. Ramon nearly averages a double double this season plus he leads the NBA in steals.

Improvements: One thing he hasn't been consistent with is getting to the free throw line each game, free throws are a huge part of his game and hes great at getting to the line, most games. If he got to the line around 10 times a game like he has a few games this season then he'd improve alot.

                    Nate Robinson
Strengths: Nate as everyone knows is a explosive, exciting player. He leads the team in points per game, he plays with his heart and brings great energy not only to the court, but sparks his teamates as well. His shooting from 3PT so far this season has been pretty decent but could be improved.

Improvements: Sometimes Nate gets a bit out of control and needs to slow things down on offence, when he rush's he gets turnovers or makes sloppy passes. Other than that his shot selection at times isn't the best.

                    Wilson Chandler
Strengths: Chandler has had a solid start to the year, his driving the the basket has been great and more than once this year, has been the guy to go to in the clutch stages.

Improvements: There's nothing major that Chandler noticably needs improving, a couple of things that could make his game ever stronger are improving his jumpshot even more and working on his defence.

                    Al Harrington
Strengths: Harrington hasn't had the best start to the season but has played some strong games for us, he's been pretty consistant in grabbing some rebounds and making some hussle plays.

Improvements: Harrington's been struggling a bit on the offensive end, he doesnt average much over 10 points per game and could work on that. But its also been because of the inclusions of Turiaf and Landry into the side who have been playing very well lately.

                    David Lee
Strengths: Lee has gotten off to a hot start to the season, he's rebounding, he's scoring and he's improved alot in blocking shots over the last few games. Lee has really been the heart of the team so far this season.

Improvements: David Lee has worked on his jumpshot and improved it, but what would happen if he were to make it a big part of his game? his offence would be great. Another thing he could improve would be his post defence on some of the NBA's big post players.

                    Larry Hughes
Strengths: Our 6th man Larry Hughes, hes played his good games and played well but he's also played his flat games where he's struggled. One thing he has been good at his getting to the rim and drawing fouls.

Improvements: Theres quite a lot Hughes needs to improve as of late, his main strength is scoring and has shown that he can come off the bench and score 15+ points but really needs to be doing that more than he has been. He's been struggling with his jumpshot mostly and cant seem to find a rythm.

                    James Posey
Strengths: We got Posey for his defence and has had games where he clearly showed how good his D is. He's been playing big minutes when there is someone to guard like LeBron or kobe and has been our main guy to put on the dominant scorers that we come up against.

Improvements: Posey's just got to keep up his defensive presence and continue to work on that, hes a good outside shooter but could be even more of a threat from 3 if he worked on it more.

                    Ronny Turiaf
Strengths: Turiaf is another inclusion that Knicks picked up for his defence. For the minutes he has got he's been pretty good but could still improve, Turiaf is known for his energy off the bench and has made some hussle baskets and defensive efforts so far.

Improvement: Turiaf can always improve, his defence is good, his hussle and work on the glass is good but can all be improved to be a more dominant player.

                    Carl Landry
Strengths: Landry has by far been our best rebounder off the bench this season and has also brought great energy to the court, hes been great on the offensive rebounds and getting 2nd chance buckets.

Improvements: One thing Landry could improve on is his all around defence, hes a decent defender but theres still room for improvement. If he could get better at shot blocking aswell then he could be a even better contributor off the bench.

                    Danilo Gallinari
Strengths: Gallinari has had some solid shooting games for us and has proved that thats a strong area in his game. His 3PT shooting has been pretty good aswell.

Improvements: Danilo Gallinari doesn't get a whole lot of court time so theres not anything major that he needs to improve on, if he can turn into a even better 3PT shooter then that would help out the team a lot.

New York Looking For A Back-up Guard/Pure Shooter

Rumours are that the New York Knicks are looking to go after a Point Guard that can backup Ramon Sessions. Knicks current option at point when Sessions is having a rest is Nate Robinson, theres nothing wrong about that but New York feel it would benefit there team just to have another option to play some minutes at Point Guard.

Why another shooter? the reason being 3 Pointers are a big part of New York's game and they feel that its an oppurtunity to make a strength of there's even greater.

It's clear that whoever this new inclusion may be, that they wont be getting starter minutes. They'll be getting limited minutes but still, will get an oppurtunity to prove themselves.

The Knicks have reportably been looking closely at J.J Redick from Orlando and Eddie House from Boston

J.J Redick, A two year guard out of duke, Redick has shown he can shoot the three extremely well and wouldn't usually be seen as a true Point Guard but with the right training could become one. A good thing about Redick is he's still pretty young and can develop alot.

Eddie House, Eddie House has alot more experience that Redick and has shown that he is lights out from 3. Another guy that wouldn't fit the perfect Point Guard description but with his experience will bring great energy to the court.

I'm partial to Reddick personally but I'm sure either would help your team greatly. This is a great chise dude. Keep it up.
