Just over a month ago the New York Knicks were clearly struggling and were ranked last in the Atlantic Division. Things were starting to look like there last season were they finshed second last in the league.
But now, things have changed, players are starting to do the 1 percenters that helps make good teams great teams. And its shown up in the standings, as of a result of New Yorks win against Memphis they are currently 2nd in the Atlantic Division behind the in form Celtics.
Knicks leaders are showing up each night and getting there team over the line, but its not just them that have changed the Knicks results. Its the energy there getting off the bench, each night our bench players are doing what they are in the team for. Whether its Posey checking in just to stop an opposition scorer or House making consistant jumpshots when he's called upon. New York's record is slowly reaching .500 again and if they were to do this they could at best past Boston and lead there Division. And thats exactly what there goal is to do as Coach D'Antoini says here.
"I'm happy as of late with our guys efforts night in night out, where starting to do what we do best, score. Score points and get some wins, our team as a whole has stood up and where working for eachother.
Saying all this we still have our weakness', alot of them [laughs] . But along with these weakness' we have our strengths, both individual strengths and team strengths. What where going to do is make some short term goals, take baby steps towards our overall goal of getting to the playoffs. The first, beat Washington, get our win loss ratio back to .500 and continue on from there."
So dont get too excited yet Knicks fans, but you can get excited about something, New York are definately improving from last season.
