BREAKING NEWS: Knicks Pull Off A Blockbuster Deal With Wizards
2 Time All Star Caron Butler Is Heading To New York

News just in that the Wizards and Knicks have agreed on a deal that will send Caron Butler to New York, Al Harrington and Eddie House to Washington.

This deal has just been confirmed and will definitely occur. Butler will bring a main scorer to the Knicks and someone that can consistently put up big numbers, this deal looks to be a good move for New York as Al Harrington clearly wasn’t making a huge impact for the Knicks. The move will also send Eddie House to Wizards which some question as House showed great signs for New York last season, so now the Knicks will have to find another back-up Point Guard. The Knicks also have up some good draft picks to the Wizards for this deal to occur.

Knicks/Wizards Make Second Big Offseason Trade. NYK Get Younger/Taller With McGee But Also A Familiar Face Back

A much needed problem for New York last season was the lack of height and not having a big blocking threat. Could this problem be solved now that the Knicks have traded Etan Thomas (Picked up in free agency), Carl Landry and a future Round Pick to the Wizards in exchange for the rookie sensation JaVale McGee but also Eddie House back, who was traded away in the Caron Butler Trade. The Knicks wanted this trade because of the contributions that Eddie House put in last season when things were tough. Also JaVale McGee, who will be given a big role for New York and be put straight into action as he will be starting at center. Things are starting to look better for New York.

New York Knicks- Free Agents And Waived Players

                      Free Agents

Anthony Morrow is the latest inclusion into the New York Knicks, Morrow can shoot lights out and will give the Knicks a pure shooter off the bench.

                      Waived Players

Larry Hughes and Patrick O’Bryant have both been waived by the Knicks and won’t be playing for New York. Hughes struggled majorly all season and while O’Bryant didn’t get much of an opportunity hopefully he will somewhere elsewhere.

Nate Going To Be Knicks 6th Man

Questions were asked about Nate Robinson and the Knicks especially since the Knicks recently traded for Caron Butler. Nate’s going to be the Knicks 6th man this season, and although he won’t be a starter he’s going to be getting just as many minutes as a starter would. Nate Robinson lead the team in scoring last season so everybody knows he can lights out score, Nate will bring terrific energy off the bench which the Knicks desperately needed. A bench player that can step out onto the court and play consistently. Depending on what type of game Chandler or Butler are playing, Nate could be getting a lot of minutes along side Butler or Chandler at SF or if Chandler and Butler are having great games Nate could get minimal minutes. Nate can also play point if our Point Guards are struggling. So there are a lot of options for the Knicks with who to play where. Nate had this to say about the change.

“I’m excited, I’ve seen Caron play and he has terrific skill, he will take the pressure off guys like me and Wilson to hold the scoring load. Coach has told me that I will be getting the same amount of minutes as last season so I’m pumped. I get a chance to bring great energy off the bench for my team.”
