You know, NCAA should make Championship Weekend part of Week 15 like it is in real life. I could cry that USC lost. I hate Notre Dame. Not as much as I hate the Steelers or the Broncos, but close.

Championship Weekend
SEC Championship
(2) Alabama crushes (7) Florida 41-10
Atlanta, GA - The Crimson Tide dominated this game from start to finish in every fashion of the game. Though neither team was able to get a running game going against the stout SEC defenses, Alabama QB Clay Parquet had a magnificent game as he went 32 for 36 for 236 yards through the air against a terrific Florida defense. The Gator offense could not get anything going all game long against the Tide's secondary. Bama CB#9 was able to take back two interceptions to the house off of Gator QB Kyler Thomas as the Crimson Tide proved they are worthy of being in a National Championship.

Big 12 Championship
(14) Texas Tech pulls off upset over (1) Nebraska in 42-37 shootout
Kansas City, MO - Nobody gave the Red Raiders any chance against the top ranked Cornhuskers but Texas Tech proved everybody wrong. It was Tech QB Allen Wright who was the star of the game as he not only proved he could throw the ball against the best defense in the nation, but he also proved he could do it with his legs as he scored on a 21-yard option run that put the Red Raiders up 14-7 in the 2nd quarter. A pick-six by Nebraska ROLB#36 would give the Huskers a 24-21 lead in the 3rd quarter. However, Texas Tech regained the lead mainly behind the play of QB Allen Wright and a huge game by WR Jacoby Franks who ended up with seven receptions for 157 yards receiving which included a huge 74-yard touchdown that reclaimed the lead for the Red Raiders. Nebraska mounted a 4th quarter come back but it came up short as Texas Tech claimed the Big 12 crown and ended Nebraska's BCS championship hopes.

Yeah, I don't know if you've referred back a couple pages but Michigan was No. 22, but lost to No. 5 Miami in a game of the week. I'm not sure if they are ranked. I'll check, and I'm sure the Wolverines are going to a bowl with an 8-4 record. Let me go check.

Heisman Trophy Presentation
And the Heisman goes to...
HB Langston Jackson (California) 1565 votes
2657 all-purpose yards, 22 total td
222 car, 1405 yds, 14 td, 23 rec, 394 yds, 6 rec td, 2 punt return td
QB Aaron Corp (USC) 874 votes
263-383, 3184 yds, 36 td, 8 int, 5 rush td
HB Cyrus Gray (Texas A&M) 778 votes
196 car, 1193 yds, 18 td, 22 rec, 4 rec td, 2 punt return td
WR Jacoby Franks (Texas Tech) 755 votes
121 rec, 1482 yds, 13 td, 765 YAC
HB Torrey Mack (Virginia) 461 votes
203 car, 1262 yds, 16 td, 20 rec, 400 yds, 6 rec td
New York, NY - It was only Cal HB Langston Jackson, USC QB Aaron Corp, and Texas A&M HB Cyrus Gray that were invited to New York for the presentation. California Golden Bear HB Langston Jackson came away with the Heisman Trophy today. It came as no surprise as Jackson was a favorite most of the season. USC QB Aaron Corp probably lost his chance with a bad game against rival Notre Dame. Corp did not even come away with the O'brien award as it went to QB Josh Brown of Penn State earlier in the week. Texas Tech WR Jacoby Franks sparked some interest of many voters in the Big 12 with a sensational game at Arrowhead against Nebraska that may have hurt Texas A&M HB Cyrus Gray. But Gray had some unimpressive games on national television that would hurt his chances. Although, Gray did come away with the best punt returner award. Virginia HB Torrey Mack received both the Maxwell and Doak Walker awards earlier in the week but was barely noticed by the Heisman voters. Nobody can really argue with the decison of giving the most prestigious trophy to Jackson after the season he had. The impressive performance to help lead Cal past USC sealed the deal in most voters' opinions as the all-purpose back looked phenomenal against one of the best defenses in the nation.Comment

I'd rather you only have one Legend. You already have that QB Jacob Marsh. Would you rather have one of these other two.
Also, I know I posted that CAP sheet but I'm not entirely sure it is something I'm going to do. I'm still not sure how it will be fun or interesting but I'm still undecided. It might happen.Comment

Oregon State headed back to the Sun Bowl
Connecticut (8-4) vs #16 Oregon State (10-2)
There will be many happy people in Eugene today after Oregon State learned that they will be headed back to the Brut Sun Bowl for the second time in a row. It was Notre Dame that ruined Oregon State's opportunity to make the Holiday Bowl when the Irish were able to defeat USC. That knocked the Trojans out of the BCS bowls and into the Holiday Bowl. The Beavers will play the Connecticut Huskies in El Paso on New Years Eve, December 31, 2011. In theory, Oregon State should be a huge favorite as UConn is unranked and finished 8-4 in a relatively weak Big East. The Beavers played in one of the most competitive conferences this year, losing only to USC and Oregon. The Beavers have to be disappointed as first their Rose Bowl dreams were vanquished by USC, then any BCS opportunity was smashed by rival Oregon, and now they have discovered they will not even be able to go to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. It looks like many of those Duck fans with the "Have fun in El Paso" signs were correct.
