Agbonlahor made no mistake from a close distance - and neither did Matteo when he got his head on the ball.

      Manchester City 0-5 Fulham
Fulham grant no mercy to City
      -Johnson Peoples, April 2014
      --------------------------------------------------

      Caution: Sent Off:

'33-'84 Agbonlahor, '42 Matteo, '51 Lazaros, '55 Corluka (Own Goal)
Caution: Baird ('12), Leijer ('52) Sent Off:

      Standings:
      Fulham (16-7-8, 55 pts -- 5th)

      ---------------------------------------------------
Part of most of it. City's inability to make solid challenges cost them this match - that and Gabriel Agbonlahor and Lam Matteo. Agbonlahor scored two beauties (the first an assist by Matteo) then another in the remaining minutes of the match. Matteo's goal was quite surprising considering he was marked fairly well from the cross - but managed to find some space and blast a downard header into the goal.

It was Giovinco's beautiful free kick that opened the scoring affair. Matteo, as always, took his invitation to score at will for Fulham's 2nd goal.

          Fulham 4-1 Portsmouth
Cottagers continue winning streak over Pompy
          -Johnson Peoples, May 2014
          --------------------------------------------------
'49 Giovinco, '61 Matteo, '67 Agbonlahor, '81 Eddie Johnson (PK)
          Caution: Sent Off:

          '83 Ben Sahar
          Caution: Sent Off:

          Standings:
          Fulham (17-7-8, 58 pts -- 5th)

          ---------------------------------------------------
The legend continues. Matteo's performance this year has been legendary, and with only 6 games remaining, the offseason could be one to remember. Matteo has been rumored as saying he hopes to play "very incredible" against Liverpool next week in hopes of a possible scouting from the Reds management (something tells me they are already watching him).

Torres made a couple of Fulham defenders miss before opening the scoring - but Matteo's vicious volley sent the traveling crowd into a frenzy.

              Liverpool 2-2 Fulham
Fulham mount huge comeback from 2-0 deficit
              -Johnson Peoples, May 2014
              --------------------------------------------------
              '19 Torres, '31 Kaboul
              Caution: Sent Off:

              '57 Matteo, '63 Kamara
              Caution: Giovinco ('74) Sent Off:

              Standings:
              Fulham (17-8-8, 59 pts -- 5th)

              ---------------------------------------------------
Could have been better. Matteo missed plenty of chances today to become the hero. It seems fatigue is starting to really set in - after all, he hasn't had a break since before January. His goal was something quite special though - I think it's the goal of the year for ALL leagues. Up next is another big four team, and arch nemesis...CHELSEA.

Drogba celebrated, as he always seems to do against Fulham, but it was an unlikely Leon Andreasen who was the hero.

                  Fulham 3-2 Chelsea
Rivalry victory goes to Cottagers thanks to Andreasen's strike
                  -Johnson Peoples, June 2014
                  --------------------------------------------------
                  '8 Matteo, '23 Agbonlahor, '56 Andreasen
Caution: Simon Davies ('64) Sent Off:

                  '18 Drogba, '25 Menez
                  Caution: Sent Off:

                  Standings:
                  Fulham (17-8-8, 59 pts -- 5th)

                  ---------------------------------------------------
Fatigue starting to set in - but still scoring. Despite not being rested since January, Matteo is still finding goals. His goal tonight was a typical striker's goal - quality finishing. I think I'm going to hate seeing this boy in either Red, Red or Blue next year - I doubt Fulham will be able to say no to all the money that is going to be offered for this potential "gold booter".

Lam Matteo, once again, comes through as the initial hero for his Cottagers - even only with under 70-minutes played.

                      Bolton 2-5 Fulham
Low-Stamina Matteo notches two goals in victory
                      -Johnson Peoples, June 2014
                      --------------------------------------------------
                      '23 Samuel, '85 Jouffre
                      Caution: Sjolund ('3), Kissock ('10), O'Brien ('90) Sent Off:

'10 Murphy (PK), '48-'62 Matteo, '76 Obertan, '90 Giovinco (PK)
                      Caution: Volz ('79) Sent Off:

                      Standings: Fulham (19-8-8, 65 pts -- 4th)
                      1. Arsenal (69 pts) -- 2. Wigan (69 pts) -- 3. Man United (66 pts)
                      ---------------------------------------------------
Is there no one else!? Does Matteo even have an Achilles heel to his game anymore? It's like the man scores at will - he is a god at goal scoring, this is simply a magnificent season and deep down I hope he continues to be a Cottager - will it happen? Fulham are on a rampage right now for not only Europe...but for the Premiership! Next week is the D1 Cup which gives Matteo a break to gain back some stamina - after that, Middlesbrough! Then Sunderland and Tottenham.

I'd have to give up a lot of pride to play for Chelski...Everton on the other hand....

I'd probably cut Matteo's life if Arsenal was the only true choice - I'm sorry, I've never been a fan of Wanker and the Gunners...

Pure joy from the face of Matteo after his second goal went in, same went for unlikely source, David Healy.

                              Middlesbrough 1-6 Fulham
Full out attack lead by Matteo and Healy stuns Boro
                              -Johnson Peoples, June 2014
                              --------------------------------------------------
                              '89 Mido
                              Caution: Sent Off:

'27-'45 Matteo, '39-49 Healy, '55 Simon Davies, '75 Lazaros (PK)
                              Caution: Hangeland ('25) Sent Off:

                              Standings: Fulham (20-8-8, 68 pts -- 3rd)
                              1. Arsenal (69 pts) -- 2. Wigan (69 pts) -- 3. Fulham (68 pts)
                              ---------------------------------------------------
Healy!? Hahaha. David Healy stole the show with an amazing dribbling display - and actually finished a couple times as well. Matteo, as always, found the back of the net against Boro - he could have a hat-trick, but at this point - who cares. I'm saying the Golden boot is his, two more matches for the season - the biggest one coming up after Sunderland. At this rate, the Cottagers could win it all - or at the very best, play in the Champions League next year!
