So coming out of the gates, Oklahoma looks poised to land three of the recruits, and Clemson may grab two of the QBs, creating quite the battle for years to come. But the recruiting race is still wide open for all but two of the recruits. I seem destined to land with LSU, and packersfan will almost certainly be headed to Notre Dame.

Well that didn't take long...we have our first commitment, as James Guthrie (K) lands with Notre Dame. And with senior Kyle Brindza on his way out, Guthrie will certainly take the starring role as a true freshman.

Oklahoma strengthened their grips on Emmanuel Banks (QB) and Zach Hatlestad (CB), but fell down to #2 on the list of Rob Roy (WR), who has in-state school Utah as his top choice now.

Quarterbacks Jake Moprofit and Khris Shackleford changed their top schools from Clemson to Virginia Tech, but the race is still wide open for both recruits.

Other tight battles include Ohio State and Clemson for Bruce Butler (HB), and Texas and LSU for Drew Blades (MLB).

All signs point to Drake Bridgewater (WR) landing with LSU in the next few weeks.

No commitments this week, but some races did get clearer. Emmanuel Banks (QB) is all but a lock to commit to Oklahoma. Zach Hatlestad (CB) has the Sooners out in front too, but Notre Dame could put pressure on the Sooners coming down the stretch.

Khris Shackleford (QB) has made Virginia Tech his clear favorite right now, but Jake Moprofit (QB) is torn between Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, and Clemson in one of the tightest races going right now.

I moved up to #3 on the list of Bruce Butler (HB), but I'm still far behind favorites Ohio State and Clemson.

Rob Roy (WR) and Drew Blades (MLB) have wide-open races with no scholarship offers at the top to create any separation.

Drake Bridgewater (WR) looks to just be waiting for a scholarship offer from LSU.

It's official...cf24's worst nightmare has come true as Zach Hatlestad (CB) has committed to Oklahoma! Although, coming out of Mustang, OK, I'm not sure what he expected. Anyway, Hatlestad will likely come in somewhere around #4 on the depth chart to begin with, but should quickly rise to the top in his second or third year barring a transfer from this already disgruntled player. ;)

Drake Bridgewater (WR) finally got offered that scholarship, and is headed to LSU! The school's top two receivers will graduate at the end of this season, but the other six guys at the position are young and talented, which will make for a tough climb to the top for Bridgewater.

Nebraska made a 300 point jump for the services of Emmanuel Banks (QB), but still trails Oklahoma by a healthy margin.

Wisconsin leapfrogs Notre Dame to take over the top spot as Jake Moprofit (QB) narrows his list down to three schools. But the race is still very tight.

In-state school Utah has become the clear favorite to land the services of Rob Roy (WR), while Virginia Tech is a big leader on the list of Khris Shackleford (QB).

I have to know why you chose a hometown of Mustang, OK if you hate the Sooners as much as I do.

Emmanuel Banks (QB), the #1 overall prospect in the nation, has committed to Oklahoma! The Sooners lose starting QB Blake Bell this season, but Banks will face a tough battle against young guns Trevor Knight and Albert Adkins for the starting job in his first few years.

Rob Roy (WR) narrowed his list to three schools, with Utah taking what looks to be an unshakeable lead for the wide receiver's services.

As the only team to offer him a scholarship, Cincinnati continues to make slow but steady progress on the list of Drew Blades (MLB). Same goes for Penn State and Bruce Butler (HB).

Jake Moprofit (QB) has committed to Wisconsin! He likely won't see much playing time in his first two years behind Joel Stave and Bart Houston, but could definitely land the starting role after that.

Dropped down to 4th on the list of Bruce Butler (HB).

Drew Blades (MLB) now has three scholarship offers, but the race for his services are still wide open.

Because that's my hometown...even though when my guy gets signed, it'll say Alva or Ada haha. Growing up when I did, you got Josh Heupel and Jason White shoved down your throat every day. I hated that team and their cocky, cheatin-ass ways and became a Tulsa fan haha. I cheer for OSU as well, because I've got friends from Mustang that I played with in middle school, that have played there. (Dallas Cowgirls kicker Dan Bailey, Browns WR Josh Cooper, and currently at OSU WR David Glidden).

But yeah..I can't stand the Sooners haha.
