Tell me about it. Jake is having an absolutely incredible year. Shame the Padres are 23-29 despite his performance. Thanks a lot for following guys. Glad you guys are enjoying this.

This next series with the Red Sox is going to be hell, I can feel it. Fighting for AL dominance.

Yeah Justo, I just couldn't figure out Guthrie. He shut us down.

The Red Sox always give me hell because just when I think I'm through the lineup, somebody hits a harmless single and the next thing you know Youkilis or Bay are up there hitting one over the Monster. I can't get a hit off Beckett either, lol.

At least you've got Bonderman going against Beckett - he should keep you in it.

Mike Hessman FTMFW? Tigers Walk Off In The Home Half Of The 9th In Nailbiting Fashion

                              (30-21) vs (29-22)

The Tigers bum rush Mike Hessman after his RBI single in the bottom of the 9th helped the Tigers take game 1 of this 3 game series.

The Tigers drubbed Dice K and the Red Sox pitching in a close 10-9 victory over the visiting Red Sox tonight in front of a capacity crowd of 40,297 fans at Comerica Park. Magglio Ordonez homered and drove in 3 runs to lead the way for the Tigers. Fernando Rodney ended up being the victor, eschewing his usual "S" for a "W", his 1st of the season after Mike Hessman's walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 9th.

The series will resume tomorrow night at Comerica Park with the Tigers Jeremy Bonderman (3-2 , 1.76 ERA) and the Red Sox' Josh Beckett (4-3 , 4.11 ERA) set as the probable starting pitchers.
