Omittin the word "bitch," cursin I wouldn't say it
Me and dog couldn't relate, til a bitch I dated
Forgive my favorite word for hers and hers alike
But I learnt it from a song I heard and sorta liked
Yeah, for the icin, glamorized drug dealin was appealin
But the block club kept it from in front of our buildin
Gangsta rap-based filmings became the buildin blocks
For children with leakin ceilings catchin drippins with pots
Coupled with compositions from Pac, Nas's "It Was Written"
In the mix with my realities and feelings
Living conditions, religion, ignorant wisdom and artistic vision
I began to jot, tap the world and listen, it drop
My mom can't feed me, my boyfriend beats me
I have sex for money, the hood don't love me
The cops wanna kill me, this nonsense built me
And I got noooo place to gooo
They bomb my village, they call us killers
Took me off they welfare, can't afford they health care
My teacher won't teach me, my master beats me
And it huuurts meee soooul
I had a ghetto boy bop, a Jay-Z boycott
'Cause he said that he never prayed to God, he prayed to Gotti
I'm thinkin godly, God guard me from the ungodly
But by my 30th watchin of "Streets is Watchin"
I was back to givin props again and that was botherin
By this uncomfortable as a untouchable touchin you
The theme songs that *****s hustle to seem wrong but these songs was comin true
And it was all becoming cool
I found a condom on the ground that Johns would cum into and thought
What constitutes a prostitute is the pursuit of profit then they drop it
The homie in a suit pat her on the butt, then rock it
It seems I was seein the same scene adopted
Prevalent in different things with the witnesses indifferent to stop it
They said don't knock it, mind ya business
His business isn't mine and that ***** pimpin got it
They took my daughter, we ain't got no water
I can't get hired, they cross on fire
We all got suspended, I just got sentenced
So I got noooo place to gooo
They threw down my gang sign, I ain't got no hang time
They talk about my sneakers, poisoned our leader
My father ain't seen me, turn off my TV
'Cause it huuurts meee soooul

My pastor touched me, I love this country
I lost my earpiece, I hope y'all hear me
'Cause it huuurts meee soooul
It's hard to state a favorite but definetely a big one during the 2000's is Kanyes 2nd verse on Diamonds are forever. Ah, I just thought about his verse on "Never Let Me Down". Andre 3000's on "Internatinal Players Anthem" was real good but didn't really have any deep meaning to it.
I'll try and think of some more.
These popped into my mind because I've been listening to them lately and it seems like rap now-a-days is more centered on verses because of the punchlines. Even thought it's my favorite CD, I know Illmatic doesn't have any of my favorite verses just because of the way it was made. No punchlines and he wasn't concerned as much about a hook, just let the song flow. That's why most on my list are from newer songs.
That verse is full of depth, it's a verse defending the institute of marriage on an Outkast and UGK song about being a "player"....If he didn't come with the deeper meaning it wouldn't have fit in the song at all. That shit is layered with metaphors and double entendres, all while advocating marriage on a song about being a playa for life...Maybe for a 16 year old they wouldn't realize why this is a major thing but when you get up to 23, 24, 25 you start having thoughts about whether or not you wanna get marrieds soon. Dre's verse is the ultimate.
I like your other mentions though. I personally feel that Kanye's best verse was on Never Let Me Down, even though he did go hard on Diamonds remix, I gotta say his NLMD verse was better. He actually outshined Jay on that track, something he can't say for himself in the latter song, or any other point in his career.
As for other verses that are crazy, here are arguably the two most legendary rap verses of all time:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCnqDvvZrcM"]YouTube - Nas - Life's a Bitch[/ame]
Then there's this guest verse by Killer Mike on The Whole World, which was just crazy when it came out in high school. He literally shits all over this song, and the Randy Moss line became an instant classic punchline that everybody quoted for years. Mike goes in at 2:20:
That's why the city is filled with a bunch of fucking idiots still (still)
That's why the first motherfucker poppin some shit he gets killed (killed)
That's why we don't call it Detroit, we call it Amityville ('Ville)
You can get capped after just having a cavity filled (filled)
Ahahahaha, that's why we're crowned the murder capital still (still)
This ain't Detroit, this is motherfucking Hamburger Hill! (Hill!)
We don't do drivebys, we park in front of houses and shoot
and when the police come we fucking shoot it out with them too!
That's the mentality here (here) that's the reality here (here)
Did I just hear somebody say they wanna challenge me here?? (huh?)
While I'm holding a pistol with this many calibres here?? (here??)
Got some registration and just made this shit valid this year? (year?)
Cause once i snap i cant be held accountable for my actions
and that's when accidents happen,
when a thousand bullets come at your house
and collapse the foundation around and they found you
and your family in it (AH!)
GOT DAMNIT HE MEANT IT WHEN HE TELLS YOU
Lyrics Born, Always Fine Tunin' (the whole song is one verse)
I'm always fine tuning everything
and meditating, doing it right
cool like a slice of carrot cake
and to improvise in do or die situations they trippin'
leasing the crowds, and never increasing the miles
chicks creaming they draws
is how leaving they blouses
messy up they whole outfits
cause the lyrically endowed go
lyrically fouled can leave you seriously impaired
like a pyamid style in an aluminum park
i'm cooler than an ice cube in the ice tray
next to the ice rink in the side thing or a light breeze
sipping on bacardi margarita mix with a lime squeeze
sight seeing in the south seas, bumping the I 3's
and driving high speed
Elle elay with a belly ache from laughing heavily in the delta 88
celebrating getting brained out by my main spouse
with car top plain down and the breaks out
got seventy lyrics for every seventy mc's
who be sharing the same styles, similar special effects
you the secretary receptionist
well i'm the president elected here to settle the debt
that's your problem that you sentimentally involved
I be calm, it aint ever no conflict when i be dropping bombs
pleasantry's aside long as your punk ass don't jump in
the cross hairs, the forecast is all clear, it's ok
you won't be a marked as a target
but talk about how you got all sorts of charts and drawings
of rolling my distinguishing remarks
in broadcast reports of me lining the floors
all aboard, i combine the top floor resorts, the floor plans
inform the bartender and door man
and go ahead inform the board member department head from corporate
an assortment of corn fed swordsmen from Oregon
with no departments that's ready to barge in
and you still won't have heart to charge in you marks
take this as advice and don't you never forget
my boys come, my boys coming towards gone
and if i ever write a boring song, let this in your thoughts plain
and don't you never forget, i put my mind towards it
i don't never forfeit, put my mind towards it, i don't never forfeit
Like that

You misunderstood what I said. I think you thought I was sayin it had no lyrical content. What I was tryin to say that it didn't touch on any major life/world things like Diamonds are Forever or Never Let Me Down. I wouldn't diss a verse that I said was one of my favorites. on Never Let ME Down Kanye was talkin about his mom going throuh racist things, his girls dad dying and other things that trump the deeper meanings of a verse about not being a player anymore.
I'm not saying Kanye's verse was better I'm just saying it had more important subjects.
But the fact that a verse about something so little as not being a player anymore, can be so good speaks for itself.
Oh yeah, Eminems verse in "That's the way I am" the real good one. lol I haven't heard that song in a long time so I don't rememeber which one, I think it was the last though.
A yo I'm coming with aggression
No question I'm steadily progressing
I'm rhyming with time and money invested
I've been stressing, since I was an adolescent Now shit's so dope I can get charged with possession
Professional, since cut from the umbilical
Battle me your battle 'all be hysterical
Don't trip or you'll get whipped out this mircale
I'm very cool and put in a hot situation
For real, I'll send you on a permanent vacation
I'm lacing this track I attack with anger
Lure you into my tent and scream "Rebenga!"
Now watch the blood spit as you die
Sparks fly, when real killers collide
I'm fearless, that's why you feel this inside
I'm clever, I never ever let shit slide
I electrify the next to try to tangle
With Madchild, will get worked from every angle
I dismantle and handle with chaos and mayhem
And cold rock a party, until the A.M.
"Horrified Nights" by Mad Child from Swollen Members
Bolded part is probably my favorite line from any rap song ever
[Tupac]
