thats an interesting thought and your mom might be right. but if not the obvious, then who? i mean there isnt any other possible option that could make sense....unless they write some more off the wall shit to make that one up.

i say off the wall cause season 4 imo was the worst season. It was great, yes. But i just felt like there were to many far fetched things going on. Its almost like the MPD were the keystone cops and didnt have a clue to anything while super cop dexter was doing all sorts of crazy shit

2 things really bugged me in the final 2 shows.

 

first was the trucker he made seem like the killer. It just seemed a little to unreal for him to make him the trinity killer. The whole thing surround it and the trucker getting killed was unbelievable to me.

2nd was when he had trinity in the van at the bank. why didnt he just leave his car and drive off in the van and kill him? seemed like the logical thing to do. Then when he chose to speak to the sherrifs he totally lost it while trinity was out. that just came across as fake to me.

there were more things going on in this season that also made me feel like it was unrealistic.

remember when the po-po show up at Trinity's house and break through the door and windows while Dex is there as Kyle looking for Trinity? Then Dex hides in the coffin, Batista and Dex's sister lift the garage door and Dex is already inside and said he heard the call and got there quicker? Well....when the cops talk to the family they are going to tell them all about Kyle Butler and eventually point out Dexter as him!!!

The part that caught my attention for the trailer for the new season is when Dex is being interviewed and the cops said they had proof he was inside Arthur Mitchell's house...that's going to be really tough to explain.

He admits at the end that he kept him alive because he wanted to learn from him. He was impressed with his cover and ability to live a double life. Of course, it cost Rita and the little boy their lives and he knows it. This will consume him throughout the next season I think.
